RefrigiWear Insulated Quilted Sweatshirt Hoodie

We live in Utah (super cold and a lot of snow) and my husband works outside all day as an electrician. He came home SO freezing one day I went on a search to find warmer clothing. I bought this because of the other great reviews, even though the price seemed a bit high. My husband wore it to work for the first time today and had to call and text me throughout the day to tell me how “bomb” this jacket was! Lol. He said he actually had to shed some layers because he was too hot! Now everyone working with him wants one, they were all looking up the other products this brand offers during their lunch hour so they could buy everything! My husband is a big guy (looks like a body builder) and is around 250 lbs and 6’1”. I ordered the 3x in lime because 2x wasn’t available but it still fits well with room for layers. Hubbie just asked me to order him another one in black and wants the same size. Get it!!Additional note- This even keeps my husband dry in snow and rain. It is super thick, with a unique material, not like a regular zip up hoodie/jacket. This is like a winter coat but more movable. Hubby still loves it after a year!

I ordered an XXL for my husband who is about 220 pounds, under 6 feet. He usually wears an XL in hoodies, but someone mentioned that it runs small - so I ordered a bigger one... but it doesn’t run small. The XXL was WAY too big. My husband laughed that it looked like a blanket. But loved the quality and material. So I ordered an XL, it was still roomy, but perfect because he likesa little extra room. It’s warm and durable.

I have been on the lookout for quite sometime to replace a fiberfill lined sweatshirt (of my husbands) that I wear each morning in winter - (10-40)while walking a brisk paced 1 1/2 miles). The one i have is 35+ years old, When I found refrigwear I was hesitant to order thinking it couldn't possible meet the high standard I was looking for - WRONG - This is EXACTLY what I have been wanting, I've worn it several times walking in New England March. all temps under 39 degrees with a t shirt underneath. plenty warm. I purchased this as my winter walking sweatshirt as a coat is too restrictive for me. Anything over 40 degrees if you are a fast paced walker this will be too warm but it is perfect for those temperatures ranges. I will say that since it's a men's medium it is not a fashion fit as I am a 5'6 woman. the sleeves are designed for a man and the hip section is a tad snug but I'm sure it will "give" in time. I had my husband try it on - he wears a medium and it fit basically the same on him - The thing I am MOST excited about is the lining. It is a cotton jersey which is what I have been searching for as cotton is breathable. Thanks Refrigwear!not thermal, sherpa or slippery nylon quilt. Can you tell I am over the top with this on??? :)

Update: 3/2019 For such an expensive sweatshirt, you would think they would have a loop on the inside at the top for hanging this heavy jacket. It's so heavy, you need a heavy duty hanger or hook to hang it on. This jacket BADLY NEEDS an inside hanging loop.Previous review: I bought two of these in two different sizes. Amazon combines the reviews into one, which can be deceiving when perusing reviews. This review is for the Refrigiwear XL black sweatshirt. The review for the XXL one I bought will follow.The XL sweatshirt fits oddly. Sleeves too long, shoulders too wide, body is too.short and waist is dramatically small. Because of the odd fit, I compared the.XL with the XXXL. As you can see by the pictures. The sleeves on the XL are just one inch shorter than the XXXL. The shoulders of both the XL and XXXL are identical. The XXXL is only 2" longer than the XL, while the width of the XXXL is about 4" wider than the XL. Because the XL is just about the same length as the XXXL, the pockets are too low to use comfortably. In short, the XL is sized to fit a short man of no more than 5'7" (my height) with big & tall shoulders and arms. I'm returning the XL.I bought the XXXL knowing it would be huge, but I use it around the house, for camping, working outside. It's like wearing a blanket. I love it. If I'd known the XL was short, had XXXL sleeves and shoulders I never would have bought it.

the sweatshirt is unbelievably warm working and doing Farm chores at 0° maybe five below with a long sleeve t-shirt all day long no problems at all the hood is a real windbreaker when she's the wind is blowing hard refrigiwear is now my go-to replacement for outdoor gear thank you

i was looking for a -warm- hoodie . i am in and out of the cold all day , auto mechanic . found this item, and ordered it , fast delivery, and ---wow--- it is fantastic . the guys at work have asked where it came from, they were very impressed . needless to say , after 62 years of life , it takes a lot to impress me , this is it , thanks so much.

I needed to replace a heavy sweatshirt that was fleece (Sherpa fleece?) lined, and I loved it for cold days. This sweatshirt is even better! It is not lined with any kind of fleece, more like a soft flannel. The outside feels like traditional sweatshirt fabric. The sweatshirt has a very thick inner filling of some kind between the two layers of fabric, which blocks the wind and is very warm. When you pick it up to put it on you immediately notice how heavy it is. Very sturdy metal zipper. Hood is a double layer, but does not appear to be insulated. It has a drawstring. There is an inside pocket that will hold a cell phone, sort of. But it's not very deep, and I would not trust it for a phone if I was being active. Nice outside pockets, no zippers. I usually wear a Large, but bought this in XL to be roomy over other clothes. If anything, it is even larger than I expected it to be. So I'm not exactly sure as to size, but they certainly do NOT run small. I love this product, and highly recommend it.
