Art Advantage Wood Palette & Brush Set Value Pack

Before I purchased this palette, I'd never actually used a wood palette before, only plastic ones. I know, I know, true artists and painters all over the world are gasping and frowning at my amateur repertoir. But truth be told, I'm a terrible painter of anything aside from single-color solid wood painting projects. I discovered when I was young that I was not the reincarnated body of Dali. Nor am I haunted by the spirit of Frida. You get my point.Now that I've (extensively) used this wood palette, I'm never going back to that inferior plastic crud! This particular paint tray is incredibly lightweight with a convenient thumb hole (that even my huge thumb comfortably wrapps around). And even though it's pretty small (which I like, because I can rest it on my forearm without it painting my biceps or jabbing me in the elbow crease), I've never needed anything bigger. Also, it's super easy to clean. The board has never warped on me after rinsing it. I've used this board many many times in the past year and a half, and it's still in ship shape condition.Just a tip: if you're using multiple paints at once in moderate to large quantities, you might want to look at bigger palettes.The added bonus for this product is that it also includes twelve paint brushes! How rad is that? I was pretty stoked, especially since the brushes are a variety of tips and thickness.

This painters palette was purchased to be used in a stage production we are doing for our local community theater. I wanted this quickly as the play was nearing the opening day. The palette needed to be something wood and antique looking as the play takes place in the 1930's era. I was impressed by how nice this palette was. It came with some very nice brushes and the quality was excellent for the price. I am not a painter but I was impressed by how durable the palette is. It fits just perfect into the era of our play and is being used nightly for each performance. The brushes are very nice and are holding up to the abuse our actors are putting them through. I found that I want to try the brushes myself at home because they look better than the one I have bought. They are firm and hold paint well. We are so pleased with the delivery too, it came so fast and was just in time for our dress rehearsal and open night. This turned out to be a really nice starter kit for me and a new medium of art. I picked it up on a whim while I was trawling through my usual art supplies and thought "For that price? Why not!"Forgetting completely that I had purchased it, I received it in a confused state but thought "Well, I also got all this paint for some reason and some  Canvas Panels  I don't remember ordering, so why not give it a try!?" And so I did!I can tell you now that I will never be awesome with paint and brushes but it was fun and when it comes to art that's why I do it: It's fun, so I'll keep doing it and this was a good starter's space for that.

I think this is a good deal and if you paint like me, you like lots of brushes of all price values, shapes and sizes available when you paint. I use these cheaper brushes to apply mask when I'm doing watercolor and for any other artsie task when I'm painting that might destroy a good brush. I feel at these cheaper prices, I can save my good brushes and use one of these and if it gets destroyed, it's cheap enough to be disposable!I don't use the palette as a palette, I intend to paint a picture on it. So between the cost of the brushes and the palette, if you take them individually, they are very reasonably priced!!But just a word of warning...you do get what you pay for and anyone expecting high quality brushes and a perfect palette at this price is dreaming! But they do serve a purpose!

Great art supplies for beginners.

Our daughter is a hobby artist and asked for some supplies for Christmas so we bought this and a few other things. It's a nice little set and she has used and enjoyed it a lot thus far. The only thing negative is that a few of the brushes has the metal end that holds the brush and attaches to the wood needed to be glued back onto the wooden handle. A couple of drops of superglue did the trick but it might be an issue on other people's purchases. A minor issue in my opinion but I thought any prospective buyers should know.

Just received the pallet today with the brushes everything seems fine cannot give a review on that what I can give a review on is the way they packaged it they packaged the brushes on top of the pallet and now there's a big giant glue strip that I can't get off on top of the pallet I guess I can use the other side but that's not the point so already not happy but it was cheap enough

El producto es muy barato asi que no se espera la mejor calidad. Pero a las brochas se le caen muchos los pelitos lo cual no sirve de mucho. Seria preferible menos brochas por el mismo precio pero una mejor calidad del producto.

Es un producto casi desechable ya que sus cerdas se desgastan muy rápidamente, incluso sólo resisten pinturas de agua. La paleta es lo mejor que tiene y las puntas de los pinceles se repiten cuando menos dos veces por estilo.

Las brochas son de muy mala calidad se les caen el pelito super rápido y al final terminas pintando mal :'c aunque por el precio creo que no esperaba más.

Un buen producto para manejo de acrílicos y óleos. Es muy simple y sirve como un inicio en el manejo de materiales.

El pegamento que tienen es raro, y si, se quita con mucha agua pero las brochas terminan abiertas y feas. No me sirven para nada por mas que trato de usarlas.
