Decent for the money
It’s ok for my needs D800 and 600m sigma. Not the smoothest of heads but at this money what do you expect. If your a paid wildlife photographer I don’t think it’s for you. But great for a novice if you have time to take your shots

Solid sturdy gimble
Does the job very well. Very heavy and bit of a weight on my monopod and a very slight wobble but that may be merely a monopod issue. As said it is very heavy but very solid but a good rigid sturdy device.

Wobbly
Very wobbly even with IS on. I’d recommend it just for leaving your camera recording on a tripod but probably not for photography because of the extra wobble when you move it

Useable if on a budget. Steer clear if you're expecting some smoothness
As far as gimbal heads go, it can't be worse than this. I bought this knowing well that this is way too cheap to be any good. But the reason for buying it was to experiment if using a gimbal head on a monopod gave a better experience over a standard ball head or pan/tilt head when using heavy-ish lenses. I quite liked how it worked out, but i must say this head is really made cheap. Like, tragically cheap. I mounted my 300mm f/2.8 on it and the main tilt up/down movement felt really stiff even if the locking knob was loose. My 3.5kg lens + camera would not "settle" at the bottom but get stuck either before or after the expected settling point. Give it a push and it will grind to a halt someplace else(if feels like plastic rubbing on rubber when swinging it not like a ball bearing). It seems like there is no bearing at all in this thing as there is a significant wobble on the top joint which lessens slightly when tightening it up a bit. So it looks like a simple nut, bolt and bushing. Even the panning axis is not smooth and feels heavy. Having said that, it sort of works if you are prepared to live with these things. I am not sure how long it will last, or if it will loosen up with use. For me, it served it's purpose to give me a taste of shooting with this head type on a monopod without spending £300 to find out whether I like it. I now feel better spending those £300 knowing I do like the idea.
