I have actually used these for very different reasons as to what they should be used for, and they work brilliantly!Originally I purchased them to hold open my baby gate when not in use (after my grandson swung it closed on his foot and nearly lost a toe) The gate opened onto a door, so I had to be a little clever on how I could get it to work. This did the job 👍Once I saw how well it stuck, and how easy it was to use, I put one on my clothes airer to stop it falling forward, and one on my ironing board!Brilliant little contraptions, and it's great that you can adjust the size so easily!

These were quick and easy to install and my 1 year old grandson has already tried all the drawers and cupboards and failed to open them - so they do the job I bought them for. They aren't inconspicuous but for a budget conscious bit of baby proofing they're ideal. No spare adhesive pads were included - some people said they got spares and I did not. So they are a one use item. I wasted one when the slide on catch got stuck and it hurt my hands too much to try to undo to adjust it.

I bought these as a way to attach the ikea lack shelf unit to the wall instead of drilling into the walls on a new build.The unit did stand by itself but would tilt out forward at the top and didn’t look very stable!So I had the idea to give these ago and it works well... I’m nicely surprised with how strong the adhesive is. It stuck well to the wall and the unit.I pressed both sticky sides on each surface, as hard as I could, for 30 seconds. Left it for and hour or so then went back and gave the unit a bit of a tug and it didn’t budge at all.Mission accomplished!My next idea is to use them for attaching a shoe storage unit to the wall but I’ll probably use several of them for that.However, please note, I do have children but not very young children and they’re old enough to know they shouldn’t climb and swing on furniture… so maybe if you have toddlers or crawlers it isn’t going to be worth the risk and you should use the recommended brackets.P.s if they stay stuck over time I’ll update the review to 5 stars

Those straps are all over the house, mostly in kitchen.Our daughter cannot open them (she is 3, now), but she can close it. Loves doing it.Very childproof and easy to use. I just wonder how hard it will be to remove them, at some point :)Otherwise it is a good product.

not very adesive

Great safety locks. Stop my 2 year old getting in my cupboards! Originally bought magnetic ones that are invisible but they are a pain to use as it’s hard to open the door. Even though these look a bit more unsightly they are much easier to use! Also put a couple on the lid of my daughters sand pit outside to secure it so that the lid didn’t blow off in the bad winds we had! So multi purpose! ;-)

Great value for money. Ordered one pack as a trial and the quality was outstanding, easy to install, easy to use. Ordered two more packs since to stop my 11minth old from opening cupboards, bin, storage etc. My 5yr old and 4 yr old have tried pulling on the straps as well testing the adhesion, so far so good.

We love these. They’re perfect for stopping children opening drawers and cupboards. We’ve bought the same brand about 3 or 4 times now but previously bought with another seller on amazon. We saw these ones this time and they were cheaper but looked the same as what we’d bought previously so thought we’d give them a go. They’re exactly the same, just slightly different packaging, so will definitely buy more from this seller in future. We find they take a little while to get used to - guests always struggle to open the drawers! But we can open them really quickly now so don’t find them annoying when trying to do things quickly.
