Good, colorful socks at a decent price point. Watch your toenails, though!
I just re-ordered 2 packages of these. The last ones I had ordered in April 2017 and by December 2018 I was down to just a few wearable pairs left. So at this price, lasting about 18 months is not bad IMO. They always get compliments. Size was right (I wear 9.5 to 10 men's) and I like that they come up to my mid calf. (Other socks don't come up high enough for my taste.) The material is better than what you'd expect for the price. It's certainly not cashmere, but it is light, thin, and breathable. I have regular sized calves, so the socks do not feel constricting or too tight on me. The one thing I would say (sounds gross, but worth realizing), is that since the fabric is thin, you need to keep your toe nails clipped, guys! If your nails are longer than they should be, they'll rip the fabric apart at the toe. This was my ONLY problem with the socks, and that was my fault. Had I been a little better with my toenails, I'd still have all of my socks that I'd originally purchased back in April 2017! I recommend these!

I think these are just as good as the expensive brands
These are great socks. I prefer my casual white socks to be thick and cottony and cushioning, but I want my dressy socks to be thin and breathable since they're worn with stiffer shoes. Other dress socks tend to be more like hose or maybe just more compressing which makes my feet too hot. These are perfect. Thin but not too thin, and they slide right on and not too far up the calf and they're very comfortable. I bought these because my previous socks, which were bought in a department store for a higher retail price, got holes in them. Socks take on a lot of friction and washing and drying, they're going to get holes. For this price I don't mind getting a fresh new six pack every year. If they start getting holes too soon, I'll come back and amend this review, but so far the quality is indistinguishable from the more expensive brands and I didn't have wander around a department store looking for them. - Amending the review 2 years later: one of the pairs got holes after 1 year, two just recently, and three are still fine. I just bought another pack exactly the same.

terrific, except for tight band
I'm a woman with women's size 8 feet, so I did expect these socks to be slightly large, and they are. (So I chose Fit As Expected). They're not so loose that there are folds along the foot in my shoe or a gap behind my heel, but they are definitely not stretched at all around my foot, either. So, I imagine they fit the larger feet they're intended for, but they're still quite comfortable for someone with a smaller foot like mine. The band around the top is a bit too tight for me, though, and leaves an imprint in my leg even though I wear them slouched down at my ankles. I can reduce this effect if I fold the top band down once, but it still irritates my skin if I wear them all day. My ankles aren't especially thick, so I think it's fair to blame the sock. That said, I'm also particularly sensitive to this. I plan to stretch the bands out to fix this issue. The point: if you like your socks pulled up and don't like a tight band, then you might want to rethink these. I was really pleased that the designs & colors are exactly the same as the photos. I wouldn't have bought men's socks if I hadn't loved these designs so much. The quality is very nice and the socks are soft and comfy (aside from the tight band problem). They're a medium thickness - not a thin dress sock & not so thick that they make your shoe feel tight.

Comfortable and Stylish
When shopping for dress socks, it’s easy to focus solely on price, but Alpine Swiss raises the bar by offering a mix of quality and practicality in their Men’s Cotton 6-Pack Dress Socks. These socks balance comfort, design, and utility in a way that stands out—here’s why: A Thoughtful Blend of Materials The cotton-polyester-spandex blend is a game-changer. While the cotton offers softness and breathability, the polyester provides durability, and the spandex ensures a secure fit without excessive tightness. This trio works together to create socks that feel lightweight yet supportive. Unique Ribbed Design What struck me most is the subtle attention to detail in the ribbed texture. These socks aren’t just an afterthought in your wardrobe—they add a touch of understated sophistication. The ribbing also helps them stay in place throughout the day, meaning no awkward slipping or bunching in your shoes. Hidden Versatility Though marketed as dress socks, they aren’t confined to formal wear. The medium thickness makes them versatile enough for business casual or even a polished weekend outfit. Need something to pair with loafers, oxfords, or even dress sneakers? These socks adapt effortlessly. A Budget-Friendly Luxury Often, socks in this price range sacrifice comfort or longevity, but Alpine Swiss achieves both. After repeated wears and washes, the fabric maintains its integrity—no thinning or loose threads. While they may not last as long as high-end brands, they outperform expectations for their cost. Where They Could Improve: One area that could see a boost is moisture-wicking performance. While the socks are breathable, those prone to sweaty feet might prefer something more moisture-absorbent for all-day use. Final Takeaway Alpine Swiss

Suits my aesthetics
After scouring stores for female argyle socks, I settled on these for men. I could not find socks for women that had a nice pattern in neutral gray and black; many had silly pictorial images or "girly" colors. I have no problem wearing a man's style/print as long as it suits my taste and I am not "trans" or anyone in the LGBTQ identity. I just wanted something more interesting in a print and color of my liking and these work! I luv that they are higher than a crew sock but not up to the calf. With shorter pants length my skin is still covered and my legs stay warm. I do not find an elastic indentation on my leg after a day of wearing and as a size 11 shoe my toes have plenty of wiggle room. I find them to be of good quality for the price. So move over men...women are invading your domain and some of us love what you wear.

Nice looking
Great looking socks but maybe a little thin. We will see how long they last before toes and heels give way.

INCREDIBLE VALUE
I was stunned by the value of these socks. $9.99 delivered to my door ? SIX pair.. BUT I did not expect much. Oh I WAS WRONG. Beautiful trendy comfortable. Okey ONE had a slight hole. so I threw it away. IT is 1.70 PER PAIR. 20 years ago these would be $15.00 a pair at Macys + gas+parking+time spent. Sometimes I wonder if we indeed are in some time loop. JUST as a comparison I bought similar socks n te order and they also were excellent (MUCH nicer packaging) BU as far as their value as SOCKS..Nah. My wife is wondering if they are to be "disposable" because it is more expensive to wash them than to just recycle them I agree. Today (3/13/19) I am buying for myself dad and brother I hope ALPINE SWISS also makes undies and other men "stuff" THANK YOU PEOPLE. THIS is what the INTERNET was supposed to give us! AND I am delighted. PS... Bought ANOTHER 2 packs BUT today...(4/9/19) AND I received 3 packs. (mistake.. SORRY AMAZON I am keeping them) Waiting for alpine swiss to get into casual men's .. clothing.. Oh BTW Alpine Swiss is NOT VICTORINOX . You do NOT pay VICTORINOX prices (ARMANI EXPENSIVE)
