Clarks Originals Men's Desert Boots

Pros - They looks great on feet. It is a classic and timeless look - Brilliant quality as expected from Clarks - Top value for money compared to in-store! - Colour is great and matches with many coloured trousers/jeans Cons - None!

Sand desert boots are the definitive 60s mod footwear and still look great with either jeans or more formal attire. Always best to spray desert boots with suede protector as they are unforgiving of rain, mud or dirty dancefloors. It would be good if a faux suede version of this classic could be produced - from an environmental and ethical perspective.

I used my other Clarks shoes as a guide for size, and have found this shoe to be very large. After ordering another pair half a size smaller, I have to say that it still feels a bit too loose, but not too bad. The shoe itself is OK comfy, and pretty good for when it's around 5-10 degrees outside and you would be roasting in your winter shoes. Also, the soil was a bit too slippery in the beginning, to the point where it would be easy to slip on the street after a rain, but I haven't noticed any of this lately, so it must have gotten better somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They also go nicely with dark-blue or black pants. Mind the size and order away.

The iconic desert boots by Clarks, which pack plenty of history whilst being a great stylish option for everyday wear. These are stunning, real leather boots, they smell to die for and the Beeswax colour and the tones of brown are beautiful. They are extremely comfortable and will take you a few days to wear them in. The Crepe sole, will darken and become dirty overtime. However this is a beautiful look as the boots builds character. One flaw, I know these are meant for the desert, but Clarks could design the sole with better grip. After some wear they can become slippy, on smooth wet surfaces. However Clarks want to stay true to the original design, I think here a tweak is needed. However apart from that, they are amazing, I urge you to buy them you won't be disappointed.

Bought this for £50 in the sale (Absolute bargain)!!! Came earlier than expected - great ! The box is lovely, shoes are immaculate. My partner is yet to try them on so can’t comment on the fit yet, but happy with purchase so far :)

This is a Desert Boot. I know, you probably think I’m stating the obvious. By ‘desert’ I don’t mean Coventry in the 80s or Birmingham in the 90s. I get it, not everyone has done a dig in Wadi El Natrun but you still have to consider what makes a pair of shoes suitable for walking on sand. That’s toe room for the sand grain to pile up without causing toe burns and loose heel so your ankle can adapt on every step. Trust me you’ll appreciate these even sat on a desk as your feet swell half way through the day, or on your way back home when for a moment you forget that you’re wearing shoes.

I chose Clark because the make good shoes. The quality of the boot was excellent. I ordered size 7 but they were to narrow as were 7.5. Increasing the size meant longer toe space so I am without a summer boot. Please make wide fittings as I am sure many older gentlemen would benefit as our feet and ankles tend to swell in hot weather.

I love Clarks for mens shoes generally, I think they are always good value and stylish and these desert boots are no exception. Well priced and delivered one day after order so well done on that front. Looking forward to wearing these out and about :)
