Great item 4x sata, good speeds
I needed this as I've filled my sata motherboard ports, and m2 slot, speeds are great for me, tested a 200gb file read, got 415mb/s from 250gb ssd, and 180mb/s write speed to an 8tb standard sata hdd, those speeds are more than enough for me, great item, seconds to install, no drivers needed for win10, very happy, thanks!

Couldn't get it to recognise anything above a 6TB disk
Tried to use it for a single 8TB disk which should not be limited by anything on the motherboard and operate independent of any BIOS restrictions.Other reviews state it great for a RAID system but never got that far. Anyway - still good value for money if it works for you.

Couldn't be easier
This card could not have been easier to install and get up and running. Works perfectly and has shown no problems. Good value for money.

Excellent item - worth every penny!
Great product that was installed on a business server to add more hard drives for redundancy. Very happy I found this as it does the job, doesn't take up much space in the case and was great value for money.

Runs Straight From The Box, But Disappointing Results
Purchased due to a failure of the on-board Marvell SATA3 controller on my Asus P7P55D-EPRO motherboard, so wanted to compare this card with the alternative of connecting SATA3 H/D to a SATA2 connection on Motherboard. All works straight out of the box. Vertical connections are handy. Invited Win 10 to update drivers from supplied mini disk, but reported most up to date drivers already present. TBH I've no idea what the benchmarks mean in detail, all I could do was compare. The sequential Read/Write on the SATA2 M/B connection was 175/169 and using this card through PCIe x 1 it was 176/169. Virtually identicle. However, if a decently made card, and simply extra SATA connectors is all you need, this fits the bill nicely. Now for some real world testing......

No good for SSD
Sadly this product runs on a 1x PCIe 2.0 slot so is limited to a theoretical 500MBs bandwidth. My test with a single SSD saw it throttled at about 360MBs. It's fine for running hard drives off, but bare in mind you're sharing the bandwidth with 4 ports, if you're thinking of building a RAID 0 stripe array.

Compact
Only dislike is the extremely bright blue led, doesn't blend in with rest of lighting, but a great COMPACT device

It doesn't handle heat well.
I've just found out that after a couple of months with no issues at all, i the heatsink does not dissipate the heat well. With the rise of the ambient temperature, it stops working after a while running. A quick solution was to fit a small fan to the heatsink, but it's kinda noisy. I need a better solution.

Aumento capacidad Discos SATA I, II, III.
