Great upgrade for h11
I used this to replace stock h11 bulbs. Look online for find the actually process, it was very simple. My only recommendation is to buy the actual h9 female plugs, and splice them onto an h11 extender harness. These are 65w bulbs and produce a lot more heat. They will slowly melt a normal h11 falemale plug. Would definitely recommend these bulbs, very bright and a good color.

fit perfectly
Very bright. Just guessing on the longevity

Excellent for replacing dull H11 bulbs!
I purchased these to replace the useless H11 bulbs in a 2019 Toyota Highlander. The stock bulbs barely put any light onto the road surface! These H9 bulbs light the road up for a good 100 feet or so. Without trying to use a cliche, it's a night and day difference between the old H11 and new H9 bulbs. Because the bulbs are still behind the stock projector lenses, the beam pattern remains the same as before, so you won't be blinding anyone and no one should be flashing their lights at you. It's all good, with the only potrntial downside being shorter lifespan for the H9 bulbs (compared to H11), and possibly more heat on the light's optics and possibly on the electrical connector and wiring (most cars should have no issues). The H9 bulbs need minor modifications to fit H11 housings. A thin metal tab needs to be shortened (for most cars) , and a small plastic tab in the electrical connector needs to be removed. For the metal tab, I used a pair of tin snips. One snip and the metal tab easy snapped off. For the plastic tab in the connector, I used a pair of flush cutting pliers that are typically used for cutting leads on PC boards. Unknown if it needed to be done, but I used a small file to smooth the remaining plastic bump that was left after using the cutting pliers. Having never performed this mod before, it literally took me 10 minutes to perform, and that included finding the proper tools. I would suggest using some rubbing alcohol on a clean paper towel to clean the bulb glass right before installation. Halogen bulbs typically use quartz glass. Quartz glass will absorb oils from your skin, and when the bulb heats up, there will be hot spots where the oils are, which can cause the bulb to shatter. The alcohol will remove any oils on the glass. I'd also suggest taking the bulbs you just removed and cleaning them with alcohol and then place them into the package your new bulbs came in (a few staples secures them inside), and placing it somewhere in the vehicle. Since these H9 bulbs have a shorter expected lifespan compared to your original H11 bulbs, they'll be on hand for a quick 5 minute replacement, if and when you need them. Putting the old bulb back in won't really help in lighting up the road, but it will keep you from getting pulled over and issued a ticket.

Superó mis expectativas
En el mercado no encontraba luces H9 de alto rendimiento, luego de instaladas y probadas durante un viaje realmente me sorprendió su calidad por la profundidad y claridad de las luces

H11 --> H9 conversion in a 2018 4Runner- success!
IMPORTANT:I do not advise anyone to modify their vehicles or safety equipment. Doing so may be illegal in your area. I am sharing my personal experience with others for the purposes of education and entertainment ONLY. Also, I never said that anyone should hug porcupines, and you better not say I did or I'll come to your house and act out all of my reviews in front of your family with passionate interpretive dance that may or may not include 3D glasses. Now, on with the review...Just installed these to replace my Philips Xtreme Vision (+100% visible lux over stock halogen long-life bulbs, supposedly) h11 55w set in my 2018 4Runner. I had those for a year, and they did provide a massive improvement over the stock Osram LL bulbs, in both brightness and how the pattern was cast down the road. Lasted about a year as expected, though I still had trouble determining if my low beams were on if there was any other light stronger than a 3/4 moon.Enter the Hella h9 Standard 65w...These were recommended over several other h9 bulbs, even the "more powerful" Hellas. Why? They are made in South Korea as opposed to China, and when tested with a lux-meter (according to the infallible internet) these bulbs provide significantly more light than stock (for 2013-2020 4Runners) h11 bulbs, while keeping the exact same light pattern but with better saturation and color. This means that it can be safely installed in my halogen projectors without causing annoyance or dangerous glare to others on the road (yes, I and countless others have tested this- some with proper light-measuring equipment!). Also, several sources claim that these bulbs are rated for 250 hours as opposed to the 150 hour rating that many h11 bulbs (including my previous Philips XV) have. For a benchmark, the extremely dim Osram h11 (55w, Germany) stock bulbs have a supposed rating of 1000 hours... but that's both optimistic, and assuming you don't crash into something and destroy those bulbs before then, due to the lack of light. My Philips XV bulbs lasted somewhat longer than rated, if my rough guesstimates are correct.Modifying these bulbs was a MUCH greater PITA than the web had me believe, and I did bleed for the sake of improving the safety of my vehicle... but I am so glad I did!The light pattern, brightness, and color have ALL improved AGAIN, now that I have these Hella h9s installed.Compared to the stock Osram long life (low output) h11s, the Philips XV +100 h11s were a pretty big improvement.Compared to the Philips XV +100s, these Hella Standard h9s are a MAJOR improvement. I can see when my lights are on now, and the color is a bright, natural daylight color (best for actually seeing things, eye fatigue and less glare from reflections off of wetness and shiny signs). If these last a year then I'll be happy.Side note: I bought and used a short bulb adapter which was recommended on the Yota forums... don't bother. It won't be plug-and-play, because although modifying the plastic tab on the harness adapter does keep me from having to clip that plastic out of any future bulbs, it does NOT fix the (now obvious to me, duh lol) issue of the metal alignment tabs being different between h9 and h11 bulbs. The adapter also adds extra bulk behind the dust caps, pressed up against the back of the bulb, AND it adds more failure points without benefit. I will likely have to keep a tiny pair of snips onboard until Toyota has a sale on OEM LED headlamp assemblies, and that's assuming they will fit my 5th gen, and don't suck once they come out.TLDR; better than stock, better than h11s as long as you have a halogen PROJECTOR housing on your vehicle.

Came with a burned out lamp
I received the lamps in January 2024 but didn't have a chance to do anything with them until today (May 22). The blister pack had been opened and taped shut, one of the lamps was burned out. It was kind of "half black" and I assumed this was a deliberate feature of the lamp, until I realized that the pack had been opened and taped shut very carefully to conceal it.

Pretty Good Bulbs!
Used these as an upgrade on a new 2020 Grand Cherokee. Much better light output compared to the factory halogen bulbs. Hope they last awhile because they were a difficult install.Update: these didn’t make it a year and both are burned out. Considering the level of difficulty it was installing these I will be going back to stock halogens.

Brightest h9 halogen bulb
I used these in place of an h11 bulb to gain a bump in brightness. And they were bright. These are probably some of the brightest, most affordable halogen h9 bulbs I've used so far. Having used several hid and led bulbs, I was not disappointed in these, and I never felt like I was lacking brightness.
