My daughters school uses Learning without Tears. I bought this additional book for my daughter to practice more at home. Not all cursive books use the same techniques/style. I was excited to see there’s more than one book! My daughter’s cursive writing is improving. In third grade her writing is more legible than some adults. Sadly, with all the technology available, handwriting in general is becoming a dying art.

I have a left handed child and a right handed child. I was looking for a cursive book series that would work for both of them and this is it. It doesn’t have the right handed slant that I learned in school, but it works perfectly for my kids. We started with the first cursive book in this series, then the second and just finished this one. My children enjoyed them all and are now fluent in cursive handwriting just from using these three books.

Buy this book!!! Prior to purchasing this book, I was pretty certain cursive writing was not in the cards for my nine year old. I have used other curriculum’s that resulted in tears, broken pencils, and torn paper. I have a child who is autistic and writing in general is the most difficult subject for him. After only two days of using this book to teach him cursive writing, he is beaming with joy at his progress. He works ahead in the book and writes the names of family member’s as best as he can, with a great big smile on his face. This book is a game changer if you have a learner who is struggling with cursive writing.

My child loves cursive so much that I had to get another that upgrades to learn more! He loves it!

Just trying to keep my boys up on their cursive. The pages are simple enough that they need no instruction from me, and not terribly monotonous, so they’re not complaining too much. But true to its name, no tears so far. ;) also a good thick book, Good value for the money.

This is our second "without tears" cursive purchase. We have tried other curriculums, but these are the best. Simple enough that the kids don't lose their selves in long cursive words (most recent issue with another book) and it teaches really well how to connect those letters. Very easy to use, and effective. My 8 year old has better cursive than some adults we've met.

This is a good beginner’s guide to cursive writing.
