Attractive and well-made spinner
The media could not be loaded. I love this garden spinner! In the past I have always used the paper kind which end up fading and tearing after a year or so. Or the pieces come flying off in a strong wind. This spinner is very solid and sturdy and well made. And it didn't cost much more than the paper spinners. And it is very attractive! I love the turquoise color with the gold in the center. And I also love that it has the solar powered globe inside that lights up after dark with changing colors. Beautiful! Especially when it shines through the spinner. And you can even take the globe out to change the battery, which I think they said should last about a year.It was very easy to put together. I like to have a spinner on the corner of my deck. So I only use two of the poles to stand it on the bench in the corner, and then I attached the pole to the railing with cable clips. Easy peasy. The one thing I did not like was the packaging. It comes packaged in that kind of Styrofoam that breaks apart in your hands when you try to pull it out of the box. And I made the mistake of opening the box on my deck, where I planned to use the spinner. So I had tiny pieces of Styrofoam flying everywhere in the wind. Of course that's just a one-time problem and it doesn't matter now that I've thrown the box away, and the spinner is up and giving me pleasure. All in all I love this spinner and I think it will give me pleasure for years to come! A great addition to my deck!

Horrible!
I will NEVER order these again! I bought two of these to sell in my shop, but in order to sell them, they have to be put together and put into the ground outside so customers can see how they look. However, they are SUPER top heavy, the pole is too long and flimsy, so they do not stand straight. The poles strip out and get rusty, are too tall, and you cannot make them shorter, because the only male and female ends are at the bottom of the pole. They are not worth your time or money!

Needs a sturdier stem
The media could not be loaded. Had to do what I did for my other one--put a piece of plumbing pipe over the original pipe. The threads are a little wonky too. it unscrews with the wind turning the whirligig. The pvc over the original pipe cures that too, I'm guessing because the PVC is snug enough to keep the pipe from moving. The only thing I'm going to do now is when it gets warmer, spray paint the pvc pipe so it doesn't look as hill-jack as it is. There's no way to keep the bulb airtight from moisture. Don't know how long the light is going to last, but so far into December it works fairly well as long as there's enough daylight to charge it. It's cute to watch and peaceful, sitting on the front porch watching it.Addition May 2021: I love it, but it’s just not very sturdy. The light with the sandwich wrap and clear packing tape has kept some of the moisture out of the lighting fixture, and it still works. One side of it the washer part of it that keeps it straight and free to twirl has broken. You have to super glue the caps on so they don’t let the wheels fly off in the wind. We get a lot of wind and these don’t stand up to it. The pvc does help a lot. They need to manufacture them with a much sturdier stem. The threads strip really easy, so gorilla glue all your threads when you get the stem set just the way you want it. Bury it deeper if you’re out in the wind. We buried ours another 2-3 inches in clay with mulch on top. Sept 2022. One side stopped working months ago, can’t get it to work no matter what I do. Not giftable

Love it, but pole/stand defective.
Pole defective, which caused damage to moving parts. This was part of a 27th wedding anniversary gift, and it’s a great spinner and we love that it has a solar charger to light up for a bit when it gets dark. Unfortunately, it appears this unit had a manufacturing issue and the crimped side of threaded coupler on the ground to first attachment pole did not hold. The first time I found it in the dirt, which bent a number of the wind petals and broke off the bearing attachment, I was able to bend the petals back to a working position and JB Weld the bearing attachment back on. I attempted to crimp base to pole with heavy pressure, but only held for a few days. Added a metal hose clamp to the joint, but only held for a few days and found the spinners in the turf again. So, spinner and top = great, pole = problem. Likely mfg. issue at punch point that was supposed to hold one side of the threaded connection. We like this spinner and I may attempt to drive a piece of rebar into the ground and find a way to marry the pole to that.

Cannot withstand moderate wind
It looks pretty and initially works great. However, one strong wind and the bearings broke.
