American Bass Usa PH4000 MD 4000 Watt Mono Block Amplifier

Have this pushing an L7 15 and 12. Smaller than my JL JX360 amp, and after slamming it stays cooler. Best amp for the money hands down, does its rated power. Only upgrade to electrical system is 2/0 gauge wire for the big 3, could use an extra battery but surprisingly headlight dimming isn't that bad.Update: Still extremely satisfied, this is in a little Integra with a 90 amp alternator and last night I had it slamming all the way on top of my JL JX360 and it was difficult to notice any headlight dimming with all my lights on... Just be sure to run huge wires for this to reduce your resistance and use proper terminals. I don't recommend ring terminals because they're cheap and suck, you want all copper lugs. One last note, I am actually using just part of my 2/0 gauge welding cable in the amp as it doesn't fit, so I will have even less resistance when my wire reducers come. BEST AMP FOR THE MONEY, nuff said.

Bought this amp to power 4 12" Alpine Type R subs in my e39 wagon. I had it wired to a 2ohm load, and it sounded great. Until it made one of the subs pop a tinsel lead. Oh well, I thought, time to buy some new subs anyway. I picked up two American Bass XFL 1244s. Holy. Crap. These two subs, a ported box built to AB SPL 2-12 spec, and this amp at a 1ohm load... gets down. I have a shuriken bt20 in addition to my factory agm battery, 1/0 and 4g wiring, appropriately sized fuses. It doesn't present a big strain to my stock alternator, i see no light dimming. It's gained up a little over half way and the bass boost is also about halfway. I have an audiocontrol matrix line driver with an adjustable voltage knob. Having the knob at 3/4 makes my roof flap, rear hatch panels want to come off, and my doors shake violently. It's beautiful.I hate when people review and it sounds like this is the first item they've ever owned and they just love it with no other comparisons. Well, I've owned somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-60 sub amps in the last 10 years. I've had many different brands (alpine, mtx, RF, kenwood, excelon, etc). This is without a doubt one of the best 'bang for the buck' amps I've ever owned. Just make sure you can run it at 1 ohm, that's where it's happiest.

Don't listen to negative reviews. This amp is powerful and sounds good. 1700 RMS is great for the price. Everyone that's complaining in the reviews don't understandable the difference between RMS and Max power.

This is nice because of its size but it does not perform at 4000watts actually not even half. Here are the dyno specs.- 1x554watts RMS @ 4-ohm- 1x933watts RMS @ 2-ohm- 1x1399watts RMS @ 1-ohmI took two stars because of this fact. With that being said even though they have lied to us, I still find this amp to be pretty nice for the price. If your looking for a compact amp and need it to perform around those dyno specs you can't go wrong with this amp. Its just terrible that American Bass lies like this. They been caught before. Always search and review amps that are not certified, (dyno test + name of amp)! 9 times out of 10 they are full of it!

Awesome product, running 2 American bass xfl 12s in a potted box setting on my back seat of a Ram 1500, ugraded alternator, big 3 and an extra cell. AMERICAN BASS knocks like no other in its price range. Make em wet and bang the block 24 hours a day!UPDATE, so I had the amp tested and at 14.4 volts at 1ohm it was not even putting out 1700rms, and under 800 at 2ohm. Kind of a let down American bass, don’t get me wrong subs are serious business. But come one why would you lie about the warts on your amps. Won’t be buying another amp!

Ive always used american bass products except their amps. This amp is insanely powerful and never has a problem playing clear bass all of the time, never goes into safetly mode like the others that couldnt handle my subs. I'm running 2 american bass 15" dx subwoofers and it's almost too much for them even at 1/4 power and on 4 ohms. Great amp and well worth it's money
