I can't account for what people do, or don't do, or know or don't know when it comes to hardware. All I can say is that I have used some of these on a critical project, holding virtually irreplaceable parts, and I trust them completely. Did I do a strength test first? Yes!!!!

Product as described
The original clips rotted off the baffle in my metal gas tank. After I cleaned the tank I was able to use the clips to secure the baffle back to the studs in the fuel tank.
