Excellent detector,Gives alerts to all camera's specially the Mobile ones in vans
Really happy with this detector,Its easy to install and works straight out of the box,No subscription fees to pay or waiting for 2 days to get it activated(Sent my RA Pure back).Screen is very clear and can be seen in direct sun light easily. Most importantly is the camera alerts,It alerts to all mobile sites local to me and some that I had no idea were operating in those locations. One thing i was very happy about was the live Radar alerts when approaching a recently replaced Gatso camera in Wokingham,It has one of the new Monitron yellow type and I had no idea they are always live now. When approachng the camera not only does it alert you to it and the speed limit but also a nice "beep beep" and then voice " K band" to let you know that the radar is working and the camera is live.I was surprised by just how many camera's are not actually working with the live Radar,Its a very nice feature of this system to not only alert you to the approaching camera but to tell you if its on.The DVR video recorder is a huge bonus and actually not the main reason I purchased this,I tested the play back and its spot on.The wide angel for the video lens recording is impressive and it covers the whole front of your car.I can't recommend the Elite2 enough.

Don't bother wasting your money
The title sums it up really, the description sounds great, and even better, free updates - however the reality is that the "updated" database has locations of cameras which were taken down three months ago, and further to that, the radar and laser detection simply doesn't work as advertised. The cameras that it did detect were all through GPS, and you can buy something for less than half the price which will do the job better. My advice, really, don't bother wasting your money, you'll be very disappointed.

Protects your driving licence
I bought this product recently as I plan to do quite a bit of driving over the next 12 months throughout the UK.The warnings are clear as is the digital display. It picks up all types of speed camera and updates are free. The dash cam is also a good feature. The only slight issue is the number of false alerts it generates particularly when driving on motorways. I can only assume the GPS picks up the warnings from nearby roads.Overall though, I’m happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to protect their driving licence.

Mixed review
We have installed these in a few of our fleet. This was from a first test run when a mobile radar warning alerted a driver to a policeman holding the radar gun monitoring the speeds and saved them points and a fine. However if you leave this feature switched on you will get constant warnings of where they could be, it will drive you nuts! Unfortunately if you switch the mobile laser warning off to stop all these warning then it pretty much makes the unit redundant. If there was an option of switching of known possible locations of mobile laser locations to only report where there is actually a live mobile laser then it would be much better. Also the GPS camera warnings are not current and the updates don’t seem to keep up with the ones on Waze and TomTom..

A must in modern roads.
A good product and works well but I have had the lug that fastens the window sucker to to unit break off twice now. Which is disappointing. Ken Howarth in Buxton.

First one star rating!! Read on and weep for me. Includes review of the Pro HD as well
I originally bought the 'Pro HD' and it worked fine - although it was wildly out of date (still gave the M62/M60 as a 50 zone, when this ended around six months ago) giving me cause to question as to what "comes with latest" update meantSo I decided to update and herein the problems started as follows;-1) Confusing / ambiguous / poor explained instructions2) Asked for help and got a prompt reply - but of no help3) Reiterated that they need to make instructions more clear and then got enough clarity to understand, exactly, what to do. Note, am not IT illiterate!!However, the update never took place, i.e. the HD simply wouldn't update!!!So I sent it back and decided to order this 'Elite 2' version.........Unpacked set up and noted it worked better than the HD, albeit marginally as it still has the same old information errorsSo decided to update. Followed the clearer instructions. This time success!! Switching on the device with the memory card with the newly installed update - actually downloaded. And then switched off and never came back on again, i.e. the update caused the unit to crash in some way and nothing I did (seven different cables / charges etc) had any affectContacted the help again, who had nothing to offer (and was very polite and helpful)So send this back to buy ANOTHER Elite 2Parcel arrived and plugged it in to the relevant charger, so I could update immediately (i.e. as their instructions) and NOTHING HAPPENED - THIS ONE WOULDN'T EVEN SWITCH ON AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sent all three back and advise avoiding like the plague. Clearly there is an issue with the Elite 2, but rather than fix the problem, i.e. recall / withdraw from sale, in my opinion, they've just repacked damaged ones and resold themBought the more expensive and £99-00 per month subscription, Road Angel version and the difference in set up and instructions is amazing. Here, they are more clear than any instructions you'd find in any recipe bookPoor product. Hope they learn from this

Best speed camera warning ever ?
This unit is absolutely brilliant. I've had it a few weeks now, (after a speeding fine) and it warns me each and every time there is danger of speed cameras of any sort.I know it leaves a little to be desired aesthetically BUT IT DOES THE JOBI've even bought another one for the wife's car too.

Bulky holder
This is a good detector , just a couple of niggley points. The windscreen holder is too bulky it spoils the unit and looks heavy on the windscreen.Goes off as detected a hand held device and nothing there.
