There are 8 boxes. Each box has 12 thin crisps, but they are wrapped up a pairs of 2, so there are 6 packages in each individual box.

Q: Can these be heated up to make them taste more like real poptarts?

They are "pastry crisp" - not poptarts. They're not intended to taste like poptarts, so NO heating them won't make them taste like poplarts- real or otherwise. Hope this answers your question Laura.

Q: Are there expiration dates on the boxes?

Yes. A "used by date" printed on top of each box. My last shipment arriving 09/21 has used by date of 06/22.
