Tree Hut Charcoal Black Sugar Scrub, 18oz, Ultra Hydrating and Exfoliating Scrub for Nourishing Essential Body Care

Eight years ago, I used Dark Angels Charcoal Scrub from LUSH Cosmetics. I loved it. But at $20 for a small jar plus shipping, it was hard for me to justify. I decided to look for something else. This product contained charcoal and had high reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try though I didn't expect much at such a low price. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. It smells even better than Dark Angels! And a downside of Dark Angels was that it left a residue on my skin that I had to clean off with regular shower gel. Not this product! It smells incredible, gently exfoliates my skin, and rinses right off. My skin has a moisturized, soft feeling afterwards. I don't do a second wash anymore.I've also used a boutique salt scrub made from the salt of the Dead Sea in Israel. It had a chemical smell, like it had a lot of other unnatural ingredients in it and it hurt my skin causing a slight rash if I used it more than once a week.This product is way better than both of those. My sister is a nurse and I had one mailed to her house as a gift so she could relax and pamper herself. She LOVED it too!I'm excited to try the coffee scented one next. I highly recommend this product :)

In recent years I have become a scrub fanatic. I've tried all different brands, sugar and salt scrubs over the counter and specialized retail stores, even make homemade scrubs. Tree Hut by far is one of my favorite brands. A generous size, value price for a quality product. I always try different scrubs and want different consistency depending on the areas I'm scrubbing. This charcoal scrub is fabulous. It does not have an overpowering scent, its course consistency to get rid of the dead skin but still moisturizes, I find it relaxing and still gentle enough for your whole body. Your skin will feel refreshed not oily.

I'm sold on this product for the scent alone. I am using several products at once, so it is unclear which is having an effect, if any. I did notice that using the product viorously caused my fingertips to dry and crack a bit. Perhaps some sort of applicator or sponge might work better. However, the sugar crystals would likely be picked up by the sponge and be rendered ineffective. Despite that, the scent is among the absolute very best, and I will use the product for that attribute alone.

I tried finding a body scrub for men and I couldn't find one that seemed to do as good of a job as a sugar scrub would. This product works great. I noticed a difference after the first use. My skin was able to absorb lotion much better. It has helped keep my skin more hydrated. Ive noticed I'm able to tan much better. It has a light perfume smell to it, which I wish it didnt. If they made a product for men, that would be great.

This is the best scrub ever - the scent is pleasant and not too overpowering. The scrub is rough but not too rough - exfoliates perfectly. The last container I had lasted about 6 months so you don't need a lot when you use it. I use it on my underarms and back of my thighs and it works so great. Also use on my neck and chest sometimes. Rinses well - no film or grime. Love it!

I used to get this at my local Walmart, but when they stopped selling it, I decided to look online. I love this scrub! It’s not too fruity or too masculine smelling. It smells clean and nice! I really love it. I feel so much better after it, and my skin feels soft and smooth afterwards. I love using it before shaving, too, to really exfoliate before I shave.

I buy a lot of Tree Hut brand body scrub in the Coffee/Mocha variety. I tried the Shea Butter varieties, but found them too oily. The Coffee/Mocha type was not available, so I purchased this Charcoal scrub. Unfortunately, I found these granules too coarse. If you like a really rough scrub without an oily residue, then you might like this.
