Needed Some Paint Inside the Door
This works as advertised and was pretty easy to install with my zip saw, though it was a little bit of a challenge to use near the bottom of the door. There is no plastic to hide the inside of the door, however. I can see empty space to the left and right of my hollow door and I had to paint the wood I bared at the bottom white so it wasn't quite so obvious.

The cat I had living in my tub hated this at first but after being forced though it ...
After managing to kick a hole in to my bathroom door, this was totally the fix I was looking for. While I first tried to fixed it with plaster and paint, I later found this much easier. The cat I had living in my tub hated this at first but after being forced though it a few times, she quickly started running though the Cat Flap. Especially when she was in trouble.

Great price, works.
Only thing is that it is a little drafty. A small space around the bottom and sides allows the door to swing, but also allows air in.

Great for even a big cat!
My cat is about 11 pounds and is able to use this without trouble. Due to the magnets there is some noise that comes with each use but that is to be expected but that said it may be disruptive on a bedroom door. I am very happy with this product and it looks great once installed.

Easy to install, but...
I was happy to find this item available on Amazon.com, and when it arrived, I was even happier when installation was complete in less than 30 minutes. My only complaint is that there were no specific size restrictions for a cat on the listing. As it turns out, the packaging indicates that this door is suitable for a smaller cat (I believe the exact measurement was up to 12 lbs.). My cat weighs 15 lbs. He can fit through the opening, but only if I leave the door off. It's a bit inconvenient, and I just wish the listing was clearer about the size.

Love this!
I actually use this indoors in my guest bathroom. I put it in the door so that the cats have access to their litter box, even if someone leaves the door shut or is taking a shower.

Basic Model
Only has OPEN or LOCK, doesn't have a restrict setting to allow the cat out but not in, or in but not out. That was OK with me as I didn't need that feature. This cat flap works well and seems durable.

Not recommended: not safe for cats!
I bought and installed this, trained my cats immediately to walk though it, thought all was well. 15 minutes later one of the cats is playing with it and gets his paw pinched & caught between the flap and the surround; totally freaked the cat out & he couldn't extricate himself. I got him out without serious damage to him (or me!) but if I hadn't been here it could have been bad.I tested with my finger and it's pretty easy to get it pinched/wedged in the door as it closes; a human will know to stop pulling and push the flap to get out, but a cat... well, my cats at least are not that clever. It's like that toy, what's it called, a chinese finger trap? It's also possible, and I think my cat did, get a claw caught in the seam between the door insert and the door itself; the door doesn't come with any "tubing" or filler plastic to fit a door thicker than ~1/2" (my interior door is 1.25". I made my own plastic liner (which was annoying to do since the two sides of the insert are NOT the same dimensions, so a flat piece of plastic doesn't fit quite right) but even so, there's an unavoidable seam (with this design) that a cat can get a claw into right where it will get him pinched.I am going to look for a door with a soft flap/curtain, or one with a more clever hinge that can "give" a bit if a paw is obstructing the door, or at least one with a smooth surround that could give a paw a better chance to slip out when the cat stops tugging. Now I just hope the one I find isn't smaller than this one, since my door already has a hole this size :(.

It's okay, there are better out there for hallow doors.
While this product does do what it is supposed to do, create a flap for a cat to enter and exit, it doesn't have enough frame, that wasn't clear from the image. If you have a hallow door and you want a clean look, just know that you will see the inside of the door structure from the other side of the opening. I really liked the other fully enclosed framed cat door that I purchased, it has a clean look. Unfortunately, they were sold-out of that one and I needed a cat door.

Very easy to install and use, Issue with the lock though.
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my sister who has 2 cats and they all love em :)The Installation was a breeze!! Depending on the type of door you are going install these flaps on, I would recommend a sharp serrated knife or saw to ensure a clean cut. Since I had a hollow door, We took an old shirt and stuffed it into the frame. Installation was approx 20 mins per door (2 cat doors were purchased). The cats were using the doors shortly after installation once we showed them how they worked (It helps if you use treats 🙂 ) The cats are roughly 20 lbs each and have no trouble going through the flaps. The only issue I have with the doors is the lock switch! It does not also stay locked. Not a huge issue for me but it gets annoying when I'm trying to feed the cats in separate rooms. If this isn't a deal breaker for you then I would definitely recommend these doors.

Great product; in function and appearance!
Product performs well and looks tidy in door. The install of cutting in to door felt more daunting in real-life than the instructions convey...thankfully my MR took care of install. The interior side cover hasn’t stayed on very well, but doesn’t impact function.Cat got used to cat door in a brief amount of time. Really like the looking option to keep pet on inside the basement at night time.Great product; would buy again and also recommend other pet owners to buy this one!

Cat figured it out
Good instructions, and while we didn't have any duct tape handy to line the inside as it was installed onto a hollow core door, we made do with some tuck tape. Used for access to our utility room for cat to feed and poop (opposite ends of room) so dog couldn't access either area. Locking feature works great in case cat needs to be out of the way while we're still moving in with furniture.
