Amazing book
Peter Vogl's books are absolutely amazing. He basically gives you every single thing you expect him to, with clear explanations.

It’s for starters
These books are easy to follow but you should take lessons to comprehend them better

Doesn’t come with the disc
Best scale book in my opinion, includes theory and an understanding of how the fret board is comprised however no disc is included

Love it!
This is the best graphic presentation of the different scales I’ve seen! Super useful. I always struggled to piece together the different shapes of the major and minor pentatonic scales, and this was just what I was looking for. It helped me finally piece them together!

Thorough and easily accessed - mostly.
I am pretty pleased with it. I know a ton of scales already, but it's nice to have a reference, instead of sitting there for a minute to process it in my head and then apply it to the fret board.I think that they could have picked a better way to lay it out, but there's a handy table of contents. The thing is, I'm not sure how they could have laid it out differently and made it better, I'm just convinced it could have been - perhaps starting with the C Maj and working towards complexity.

Easy to use and follow
I absolutely love this book. I used to play guitar years ago and recently got back into playing but had forgotten most my scales until I found this little gem of a book. It is so well written and presented that it makes learning the scales all over again more fun and practicing became something I look forward to every day rather than the laborious task that it used to be. The book itself it set up to make learning much faster and putting the scales to memory is a lot easier than it used to be. It is designed for beginner and intermediate guitarists though seasoned players may find some useful material within these pages. I would recommend this book if like me you want to take your playing to the next level, though I would recommend a metronome to help you improve your speed and accuracy. I've only been using the book a few days and already have the A major, B Major and C major scales memorized with just two hours of practice every night. The guitar neck can seem intimidating and a little formidable, but with this book, you'll have it mastered in no time at all it really is that good.

Great. Very practical.
Good to see multiple layouts of each scale. Going on to show exactly the same scale shapes througgh all 12 semitones? A bit of a waste, I think: I can find the different keys for myself thanks. The most interesting part for me was modal scale shapes, plus a couple of 'exotic' scales (which I use extensively as I'm studying the Ritchie Blackmore way of soloing. The scales are easy to follow and well laid out.Great book, despite only 4* (personal niggles which in no way detract from the quality of the book). Definitely worth it.
