Yummy dried mushrooms that can also be rehydrated
These are delicious 40 gram assortments of dried mushrooms in an air tight container that preserves freahness! These can last a very long time on your shelf making it easy to store and grab! Consumers can also put these dried mushrooms in water to where they will soak up their moisture again reviving them to traditional plump mushrooms! These smell like salty mushrooms and are great for endless culinary purposes or even just to snack on! The texture is that of a dehydrated, softer, chip like tecture with some crunch! The price is great for the health benefits and the taste is delicious to me! Im a mushroom hippy dippy kinda girl! Highly recommend!

This is a nice little assortment of dried mushrooms. Good quality and value for you buck...about 8 or so ounces of reconstituted mushrooms. Picture included for mushroom variety.

Always have on hand
I order these often. They’re great to have on hand to add to soups & casseroles. They make it easy to whip up a mushroom sauce for burgers.

Not as good as they could have been
I’ve used dried mushrooms a lot- fresh Shiitake used to be largely unavailable. I liked the look of these Roland mixed mushrooms and I like to have pantry staples on hand because I don’t always plan in advance. Having said that, I was surprised to see Wood Ear fungus in the batch. I tend to think of wood ear as a ingredient used in East Asian cuisine. I should have treated it in the same way as it’s usually prepared for Japanese food- by slicing it thinly. I didn’t, so I ended up cutting the large pieces with my handy kitchen scissors but I don’t think it worked as well.I concur with reviewers who noted small broken bits on the bottom of the jar but that’s not particularly suprising with dried mushrooms- or any food that’s dry and crispy. I was surprised at how small the jar was, as were some of the other buyers. It can be hard to translate the mass of 40 g into volume but if the measurements of the jar were given it would have been easier to understand what we’re buying. Some of the mushrooms felt a bit gritty even though I soaked them for long enough that they shouldn’t have been. They also gave my sausage and mushrooms risotto an unappealing grey cast but at least it wasn’t as bad as the black beans and rice I made while I was an undergrad. 😄 I may have been better off had I cooked the mushrooms separately from the rest of the dish- but who wants to do that?I probably won’t buy these again but if I do I may take a tip from Chinese cooks where I once worked as a waitress and soak them ahead of time although they may disintegrate before the grit.comes. out. I have no idea how long they soaked them but there was always a big old jar of shiitake mushrooms in the back.

A wonderful convenience
These are great for many reasons. They never get slimy, and do not force you to use them. They are there, ready and delicious; to say nothing about the nutritional benefits!

Very flavourful!
Soaked in previously boiled water that had sit for a few minutes in a shallow wide bowl and let them soak. They have this wild strong aroma & flavour. Which is perfect for my roasted potatoes and roasted onions mixture. So delicious!!! Will purchase again!

Excellent if you need a small amount and the price is reasonable.
The added benefit to these is that you can add the mushrooms to a spice grinder making a powder which can then be added to gravy/stock etc for a subtle umami flavor. I'll purchase again. Thank you
