UPGRADED Lifetime Appliance WR02X11705 Filter Bypass Cap Compatible with General Electric (GE) Refrigerator - WR17X22070

I wanted to bypass the internal filter as i have my water/ice maker fed from my Reverse Osmosis system.The water will not flow unless a filter is in place, so this helps solve that problem and allows me to bypass the filter.Very quick and easy to do and now the water flow is even better as it is not slowed down by another filter.

This works for my ge monogram built in perfectly. read the reviews and understood what filter it replaced however now my fridge water has an odd plastic taste. i'm debating trying a different brand or letting this sit for a few months to see if it goes away.

The product was fine. Just not compatible with my GE refrigerator
