this towel has a nice, quality material and feel
This towel is cute, functional, and certainly serves its purpose well! I took hot yoga classes weekly for a few months and purchased this (along with a mat) from Amazon. I do not at all regret my purchase. I don't have a lot of experience with yoga gear, and don't have room to be snobby about the gear, as this is the only yoga towel I have ever purchased. That aside, this towel has a nice, quality material and feel. It's not a standard terry cloth towel. It's got a heavier, thicker feel to it and covers a standard yoga mat perfectly. You can't see or feel the sweat on it when you're in the middle of class, no sweat pools... the towel contains and holds the moisture in really well. Towel will be heavier after class from all the moisture it's holding, you throw it in the cold cycle of your wash and let it air dry. I love mine, and will be purchasing more from yoga design lab in the future!

Takes a beating, still gorgeous, and eco-friendly.
First, this is my second YDL towel, and is not likely to be my last. Second, this is my new favorite towel because the design is GORGEOUS.I honestly prefer these towels to YogiToes because I enjoy supporting eco-friendly small businesses. The owner has followed up on both purchases I have made from YDL, which really shows me they care about their product. I do have both a Manduka Eko and Eko Superlite mat that I use with my towels. I am a very sweaty person, regardless of the type of class, so I need a towel pretty much always. While this towel is a little slicker upon first down-dog than YogiToes, I find that a quick spritz with water (or a few turbo-dogs worth of forehead sweat) solve that issue. I honestly prefer having to work a little harder to stay in poses at first, anyway, because it gets me out of my head and deeper into my practice. These towels don't have the small grip-dots that YogiToes have on the bottom, but are long enough to curl the corners under your mat (unless you're rocking an XL mat), and I rarely have problems (especially because my Eko mats are grippy enough to hold the towel in place). Honestly, I love these, and every time they release a new pattern I lose a little more self-control.Side note: I have had my first towel for over a year, used it as an outdoor travel mat (before purchasing my superlite), a backpacking towel, a blanket or pillow in desperate times, and it has held up like a champ. I drug it around Europe with me, threw it in crumpled places, machine washed it in hot water accidentally, and not a fray in sight. It is basically in just as good a shape as my new one.Thank you, YDL, I will hopefully own all your towels one day! Please don't ever make bolsters, because I need to keep some of my money.

Excellent hot yoga towel!
I was hesitant to buy a yoga towel I couldn’t feel. I have two other from Yogitoes and have had them for years. I read the reviews and thought why not. And why not indeed! This yoga towel is superior. It grips my Maduka mat so well. I like it’s sueded texture, it’s easy to grip dry or sweat soaked. Yes, if you drag your toes/feet on it, it will bunch a bit. I’m not sure other than clasps on your mat what would avoid this. It’s no big deal. This towel is what’s up. Good for absorption, stays put, feels nice and has some really cool design options. Namaste.

Despite all the quality, I receive pen-marked towel.
This is actually a reorder after the first purchase, same towel different pattern, which I am quite happy about. This mat towel is super absorbent, soft and very quick dry. It took only 2-3h, hang-dried in room temperature, for the towel to be completely dried. I have to admit, the reason I fell in love is because of the design and beautiful pattern. The towel sticks to my mat for the whole session, no flipping in every corner, but for the grippiness, it is still below Yogitoes. Yes, it does need to be dampened, and I am a super-sweaty person, even I drop some water from my bottle just around the area, where Im gonna put down my hands. And, since its rather quick-dry, I sometime need to redo in the middle of yoga session. If you do many standing pose but eventually need solid grip for downward dog, you may wanna do this.I am okay for those mentioned. The reason for four star; today, I just received the second purchase, and I am frowned to seelittle spot stain in the hand towel (bought mat + hand towel). It’s like a pen marked. Never been used. It’s tiny but still a bummer. Small issue but simply avoidable with better QC and shipment checking.

Highly Recommended for Hot Yoga
I've been practicing hot vinyasa yoga for several years. Before Yoga Design Lab, I had only used Yogitoes, which worked well, but I had to wet the towel before my practice so I wouldn't slip and lost its quality over time.Getting back into hot yoga after a long hiatus, and increasing my practice to five times a week, I needed another towel to keep up. I didn't want to pay the high price of Yogitoes, so I explored another brand. After reading the reviews for Yoga Design Lab, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! From the moment I bought my first towel (the geo one with all the bright colors) to using after eight months, this towel has held up perfectly! I don't need to wet it before class, it stays in place during my practice and these design options are beautiful! I've received a few compliments on the geo one.I recently bought the Breathe Hot yoga towel and couldn't be more pleased! Now I have two towels that I love. If you practice hot yoga, I highly recommend getting this towel!

Love this hot yoga mat
This hot yoga towel has worked great for me. I have a Manduka PRO yoga mat and this towel covers my mat during my 90 minute classes. It keeps me from slipping when my hands or feet get damp from sweating during my class. The mat is thin which is helpful so that it does not bunch up while you are moving through your poses. It washes beautifully and even "hang" dries quickly if you prefer not to put in the dryer, although drying in the dryer works well too. The colors are beautiful and have stayed bright through washing. I am happy with my purchase and recommend this towel if you are looking for one.
