One bunk out of two isn't bad ... ( ? )
I'm an amazon junkie. I buy nearly everything on here, and I rarely leave a review. (Actually - this may be my first.) Let me tell you about this bed.Twas the night before Christmas, and I was trying to assemble the bunk bed my kid wanted from Santa. Easy directions, all parts accounted for ... but I think someone on the drilling line fell asleep on the job.I purchased two of these (the other one being pink with a crown) and managed to get that together without any major problems, but on the second one, I discovered that one bed post was missing a hole in the top. No problems - it's 10:30 on Christmas Eve, and I own a drill. Santa's desperate. I drill the 1/4" hole and the wood splits. (Yes - I started with a smaller bit first ... this isn't my first rodeo.) It's ok - I have glue. I'll glue the ball to the top and make that the top bunk.Nope. There's no hole on the bottom of that post either, so you can't use it as the top bunk. I discovered on the next piece that the holes were drilled backwards. Where it should be 4 big holes on one side, 4 little holes on the other, this piece was assembled with 2 big holes on the right and 2 little ones on the left, thus making it impossible to assemble.Santa is now bringing one of my daughters a single bed instead of a bunk, and I'm hoping Emily Rose will send the new pieces soon ... another day. Santa's little elf just quit.

Fits American Girl dolls perfectly
Very nice and much more reasonably-priced alternative for my daughter's American Girl dolls. She can easily separate the beds or stack them. The 'mattresses' and covers are thin, but we're not expecting the Ritz Carlton here. We can easily sew extra blankies or bedding. The beds came meticulously and carefully packaged, and the instructions were easy to follow. My daughter absolutely loves these.

Cheap Particle Board and Paint Covering up Dammage
My niece loves this gift and will never know how cheaply made it is. The instructions where easy enough to put together. But certain parts came damaged and other parts they painted over to cover up damage. See images. For the price I think the product should be real wood and not cheap particle board. The pillows had uneven amounts of cotton stuffed in them so some pillows where sad looking while others where perfect. One pillow the thread was really messy on the outside too. This company needs to dig deeper into quality control.

Not impressed
Unfortunately the white beds had turquoise paint marks that looked like fingerprints on them in multiple places. I was also surprised to see the bedding was right under the box flaps, so that if you used a sharp blade to open the box you would have cut the fabric (we didn't). We didn't take a chance on ordering another so went elsewhere for the doll beds. Not impressed. Amazon was great with the return, however!

... The quality control review of the product components is poor and disappointing What should have taken 30 minutes turned ...
Dowels were 1/4 inch and holes drilled were too largeHad to drill the bed to 3/8 and use 3/8 dowels to connect bed togetherBed finial dowels were 1/4 inch and sloppy when installed and I glued them in to keep them in placeOne of the connecting screws was 1/4 inch too short had to find a screw that workedThe quality control review of the product components is poor and disappointingWhat should have taken 30 minutes turned into 4 hours running around finding parts

Granddaughter love the bunk bed
This was a Christmas gift for our 6 year old granddaughter. She asked for a bunk bed for her 18" dolls. This is the cutest one I could find. Pricey but adorable.

My Granddaughter love it!!!
This was a Christmas present for my 8 year old granddaughter. She saw another set of bunk beds in a newspaper circular but by the time we got to the store, it was sold out. She absolutely loves this set and hasn't mentioned the other beds she saw. She stacks them bunk style and makes them up as twin beds and uses with them with all her dolls.

Some quality issues
A doll bunk bed that can break down into two separate beds is a great idea. The quality of the product has some issues. The paint on some of the wood pieces was wrinkled. The assembly involves screwing metal screws into embedded plastic connectors and two of the 16 connectors did not line up properly. I had to dig them out of the wood with a knife, leaving damage to the bed frame. All in all it was an okay purchase. My 8 year old loves it and isn't sad about the quality.
