Mr Beer European Bonus Brews Collection Complete Home Brewing Kit

This is great for the person entering home brewing! If the directions are followed, anybody can do it. My first beer brewed was Oktoberfest Lager & it is quite good. This kit comes with everything you need to make 2 batches of beer. It makes about 2 gallons & the included DVD is very comprehensive. Only complaint is the included plastic bottles are about 25 oz...wish they were 12 oz. You cannot rush the process. I use gallon jugs of spring water purchased at a store. I fermented for 2 weeks & sampled & it was ready for bottling (fermenting temperature is very important). I let bottles sit for 3 weeks for carbonation, then 1 week in refrigerator. I currently have a batch of pilsner brewing. This kit could be called "Brewing for Dummies". After a year of using the Mr. Beer kits, I plan of taking it up a notch & buying my own ingredients to brew, but I believe I will still be able to use the fermenter included in this kit.

My husband has been interested in brewing his own beer for awhile so I got him this for Christmas. As far as starter kits go this one does have everything you need. He did end up going on youtube for ideas on the brewing process. He was very happy with his first batch and the overall process of it. Simple and easy to do.

There is a lot more work then it seems to make this and it takes a good deal longer to then you think or it says it takes. I ended up gifting this to a friend after watching the dvd and realizing the hassle it involved. 2 Stars because I didn't get to use it and I received the kit with 1 bottle missing.

Purchase for son in law. He did like the kit. His only complaint was the flavors of beer he prefers need a larger container.

Ordered as a Christmas gift for my Fiance! We just started our first brew last week.... now to wait! Brewing was pretty simple.... the toughest part was making sure everything was sanitized before starting the brewing process. Can't wait to give this a try!

I got my first batch started and beer is leaking all over the place. It's coming from more than just the top ventilation spots too. Really disappointed in the product. There was a massive gash in the packaging and many of the bottle were crumpled and bent when I opened the box. Would not recommend.
