Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is my first camcorder. I upgraded from a Kodak EzShare m530. The external mic has a -20 db attenuator for high volume. The articulation of the sound is very nice for my purposes. I'm a jazz drummer I don't know how well this would record a heavy hitter. I have a 3 24" x 48" acoustic panels & a half dozen 12" x 12" acoustic foam wedges in my practie room. My understanding is that I can upgrade with a finer external mic down the line as well. My initial impression is that this is a very nice camcorder with a very serviceable stock mic with the option to upgrade it eventually.5 Stars :)

Surprisingly, it works very well when I travel out of countries. It has an external microphone on the top, which I needed so that my sons can be heard over the background noise on the way. I would like to give 5 stars, because I have no problems with this camera at all. However, it only takes a little work to read the instruction first before getting all the features. You need to prepare for an SD card. I will specifically explain what I like the camcorder. One feature I like is the on-screen focus.  it also refers to a face tracking feature, but basically, you touch the screen on any part and it sets the focus to there. It is useful when you have something in the middle of the screen you want to focus on and there are other objects further away. This feature works well and is much faster than trying to manually focus the camera. Secondly, I Capture high definition 1920x1080 videos and high quality 24MP still images and a full HD 24MP with stereo audio, the SD card is easy to access and pop into my computer. Thirdly.it has a USB port, and if I plug the camera in it recognizes it and the driver was installed automatically. The last one is that I like the remote control. It helps me set up the camera so that I can be in the video. Good product!

I thought it was a good product because of some of the features including a mic input BUT quality of the video is TERRIBLE in all modes. It stutter and is impossible to watch. STAY AWAY, get something like the basic Canon 1080P camcorder. About $180 new and also has a mic input and from the REAL reviews including YouTube videos it has great video quality.

This camera is perfect for someone who doesn't want to deal with complicated hassles. It is great for its intended use of making youtube videos for my son's channel. The sound and picture are sufficient. With my particular camera, the microphone made constant clicking noises when I played the video back, but it works well without the microphone. The seller was amazing in resolving my issue with a partial refund. Even without the microphone, the camera is well worth the price and it certainly gets the job done.

It's a good entry-level camcorder. Everything works perfectly fine. The battery lasts surprisingly long.One of the things I've found is that a lot of the negative reviews are actually regarding things that happen if you don't set it up correctly. For instance, the microphone not recording properly, and just making a weird sound in the video playback. You need to switch the microphone on. That's pretty important. Secondly, the audio being offtrack with the video. First of all, when you put a new SD card in there, make sure to format it in the camera, and then start recording. If the playback on the camcorder screen is fine, it should be fine on your computer. However, media players such as VLC may still have the video and audio out of sync. If you're editing the video inside of Shotcut, for instance, it should be fine. If you upload it to YouTube, it should be fine. There are a lot of other areas you need to look at before giving this camera a bad review.On a note for those that don't know what to expect, the video is grainy in low light. It has that classic home video appearance to videos that are recorded even in good light. It's not a professional camera, so don't expect it to produce professional quality video. You can apply filters to it while editing the video to make it look more professional. It is good for YouTube with a little TLC. My wife says she likes the video quality on her iPhone 7 more, so she's going to use that for her YouTube channel, and she's getting an X this month, which I hear is even better than the 7, and she's not paying very much for the upgrade with Verizon. So, that may be a better option for you also, if that's what you're buying this for. She also said most YouTubers use DSLRs, so it may be good to save your money, and buy a Cannon Rebel.For home videos, and stuff, in good lighting, it's great, and you can apply filters to the video to make it look a lot better.

WOW, the camcorder is small and fits perfectly in my small female hands. The picture on the screen is very clear. It was packaged in the box beautiful! The camcorder bag is great and the camcorder fits in it perfectly! I have been playing with the camcorder and getting to know it. It will be a great for our vacation this spring. So easy to use that my 10 yr old son was able to figure out how to record a video with it in minutes.

I liked to record all the time with her and I finished the abteria passing it incredible for which it is perfect to be able to exchange the battery and continue using it, a real SLR camera camouflaged in the body of a compact one. Able to approach to distant points inside the framing (this zoom makes it unique in the compact segment) its ergonomic size makes it easy to shoot in difficult shotsThe remote control is great because you can control it from a distance which has many applications, I recorded my entire family playing a day in the park and I could go out in the video.
