Honeywell HZ-445R Ceramic Surround Heat Whole Room Heater with Remote Control, Black

I live in a tiny apartment just about 600sq ft and this heats up the entire apartment very quickly, I love the 360 so I'll put my feet up near it and the timing cues are nice for when I want to fall asleep with the heater on but not burn up at night.Pro's*Have on for about 10-15 minutes and my living area is nice and toasty.*Small low hum, that is very un-noticeable.*The set temperature feature will allow the temperature to reach desired temp, and then shut off once reach and turn back on once the temp drops down again....so as to keep a nice even toasty temperature.*The different timer numbers have a good number in range if you don't want to think about the unit. Short time bursts to longer hours of heating. (this feature can also work along with the set temperature feature)*The remote is nice and compact and also working from a good short distance away, I usually am about 6-7 ft away for it to work.*360 surrounding heating feature; shoots out from all sides, not just one sided area. I like this feature because I don't have to move around the heater to actually feel the heat.Con's* Aesthetically, I think the unit isn't too sleek or easy on the eye; its more so bulky in size. I think the handle compensates for this as its very sturdy and using this feature makes for an easy transport away from the room or off to a corner once no longer in need. Having a toddler, I've always got something in my hands or wanting a quick clean up when I'm shutting down the house for the evening, so the handle definately compensates for the aesthetics when I want the unit out of sight. Who can really complain when it gets down to business.

Love this heater it keeps the room at the temperature you set it for.The time set works and turns off at the time you set it for. Having a remote is the greatest. I can turn it on or off without getting out of bed. My daughter bought 2 and is very pleased with their performance.

Works well. Remote functions well too. Is a little noisy. The sound seems the same on both fan settings. Like the 180/360 degree option. Only reason I give a 4 star is because the airflow doesn’t seem very strong on either fan setting. Will heat a room, but is not really good as a ‘personal’ heater. I use it at work and is great for the office. I don’t think it would be a good option for a cubicle setting.

Darn good little heater. It is safe and efficient to run. I put it on a kill-a-watt meter set on high to measure the electricity it would use. In a 24 hour period running on High it would cost me about $1.19 a day at 11.9 cents a kilowatt hour. It won't heat an entire house but it does great in the 280 square foot room I have it in. Go for it. I will also mention this heater is quite safe to use in a room where you have birds. My bird room has had one of these for almost 3 years.

I already had an older Honeywell ceramic heater that works flawlessly. My health has pretty much confined me to my room and bed. I'm on in home hospice and I needed a way to heat my room without bugging anyone to turn heater on and off. So it was bought with the remote being it's selling point and the Honeywell name. I have it running right now. Very easy to use. The controls are very straightforward. Warms the room wonderfully. Has another feature I kind of like which is a manual lever that when pushed down allows for 180 degree operation, or if left in the up position provides a full 360 degree of heating. You set your temp for what you want. It has a timer for up to 8hrs. Has auto shutoff and tip over safety shutoff. The remote comes with 2AAA batteries. This is a great unit. You won't be disappointed.

It is designed for heating a room that I suppose is closed off by a door. In that respect it does very well. It has 180 degree and 360 degree (not fahrenheit) circular heating that is changed by a lever on the back that closes the vent on top for 180. The remote is a great thing. It has a timer, high and low fan setting and temperature range from 60 to 80 degrees. With a three year warranty this is a pretty good deal.

I was looking for a space heater that would allow me to set the thermostat to keep the apartment a bit warmer overnight without me needing to constantly mess with the unit. Unfortunately, this heater does not have that functionality. The unit never came on despite messing with the temperature by several degrees in each direction. Once the heater is manually turned on, the thermometer slowly figures out the correct temperature, but it's useless by then.Outside of that issue, the heater works well, gets the room toasty quick. It's about as loud as any space heater I've purchased. It was fine, but not exceptional.I returned this unit in an attempt to find a unit with a working thermostat.

We bought it for our master bedroom and with the door closed it heats the entire room up very quickly. The controls are easy to use and we especially like the remote. Not having to get out of bed to turn the heater on or off is very convenient. We’ve bought Honeywell heaters in the past and think they’re the best on the market. We tried another brand that was the top pick in more than one rating and it didn’t work well and then stopped working completely after one month. We will only buy Honeywell from now on.

Case was cracked, but all seems to be working OK.Using to help in a cool garage, so the cracked case is not a real issue.
