Durable and comfortable
These springs add a very nice cushion when sitting down on the swing. The ones I received were rated (printed on package) for 300lb each spring NOT 325lb as stated in Amazon description. They were the 4002 model too. Not a big deal for us, can seat my entire family on a set of these! I have had about 550lb of people on the swing before, and it's about a 100lb 5ft cedar swing. Their obviously wasnt any additional spring slack or cushioning at that weight, but they held up fine. They're rated much higher then the best swing hook lags I could find at home depot when I initially installed (200lb per hook). The springs here were also much cheaper then the only pair there.

well made
Sturdy and easy to install. Swing is protected from weather so I can't say how they'll handle weathering but the finish on them is really nice and doesn't scratch so I can't see why there would be any issue. They have a good amount of give but aren't to bouncy and easily support the weight of two adults.

Compression spring to make a great swing
I installed a wooden porch screen and wanted a set of springs to relieve pressure and be more comfortable when sitting on the swing. But, I did not want stretch springs because these can fail with too heavy of a weight. This is where the compression spring works great. It does bottom out with a high weight, but that is part of the design. It is easy to install but you do have to be able to pinch the shuttles of the spring together to push them through the spring when installing. You may need to look it up online to see what I'm describing. It's not hard. It just takes a small amount of effort. Make sure you measure the length of the spring and add this length into the calculation when you are getting your chain length measured for your swing. I also recommend that you find a rafter or ceiling stud and install the eye bolt directly to the stud. The spring would then attach to the eye bolt. The springs work great and the swing is comfortable to sit on.

Work perfectly!
These are on my new porch swing and working perfectly. They cushion the jar when sitting down on the swing and take a lot of weight. My husband and I combined are around 335 pounds and these springs are holding up wonderfully. Would highly recommend if you have a porch swing.

Excellent spring quality and makes the swing quite a bit ...
Excellent spring quality and makes the swing quite a bit more comfortable, It is NOT hard to install and you do not need "S" hooks or anything to install them. THe springs come apart and by simply squeezing the legs of the hangers together the legs can be slipped over the chains and hanger and then back into the spring for a neat and clean install.

Excellent for shade sails
Worked great in conjunction with the shade sail hardware.

Nice looking, large springs but the weight rating seems way off.
Part of my decision in ordering this particular set of springs was the 325lb rating per spring. They are quite large and that was a liberal weight rating compared to others I have seen.Installed last night, adjusted the height for the large springs after installation, everything looks great....... ready......have a quick sit to try them out... and...... yes they made a big diference when loading the swing which is exactly what I was looking for, BUT, at 250lbs both springs were completely collapsed when I was sitting. Now with a combined weight rating of 650lbs, I would have expected some travel to be left over when my wife sat down but there was none. So, I am keeping the springs and they are a nice addition but I would beware of the weight rating if our family happens to near it, or as in my case less than half of it!
