Warmth/waterproof This jacket was actually really warm. I was snowboarding in 20 degree weather and I was actually hot. I also wore it around and it kept me extremely hot. The jacket was also waterproof. I was snowboarding in the snow and fell a couple of times and at no point did the jacket get wet. Color The jacket I got was the white one. It’s actually a very bright white color. It is also designed for high visability so I was actually kind of easy to spot even in low visability. Utility The jacket had a ton of really deep big pockets. It made carrying things around a lot easier. The only downside was that the “phone” pocket (located on the inside of the jacket near the breast area) is actually really small and didn’t even come close to fitting my iPhone 8. It does have a slightly bigger pocket underneath that pocket but if you’re snowboarding or skiing your phone would be in an uncomfortable spot as it pokes you. This isn’t a big deal but it was a little annoying. Material/quality The jacket is made from really nice warm materials. It is a bit thicker than traditional snowboarding jackets but it was still really high quality. The stitching was really well done as well. The fur is also really nicely made. It got wet a couple of times and it always dried nicely and has not gotten matted and gross like most other fux fur. Overall I would totally recommend this jacket. I used it around town as well as snowboarding and it did a great job at keeping me warm and dry. It’s a nice fitting jacket and looks actually quite stylish and it’s a thicker coat. The only downside was the phone pocket but it’s just a minor inconvenience.

While I live in Charlotte, NC, where the winters are usually mild, we are traveling to Buffalo for Christmas and while there going to a Bills football game. I knew that I needed a heavy winter coat. I read so many reviews and decided on this one. Let me say that I am not someone that spends a lot of money on single items, but at $180 this coat is worth every penny and more. It is obvious why this coat is on the more expensive side - it's very well made and heavy. The pockets are fleece lined and big enough for hands and a phone. There is a pocket on one upper arm maybe for earbuds or something else small. There are also two decent sized pockets on the inside of the coat. The coat zips up easily and has snaps as well. The sleeves are cuffed with thumb holes. There are also snaps on the each side (outside of coat) where you can tighten the waist about an inch or two. The hat is heavy and the faux fur lining will definitely keep the wind out, but is a bit oversized so it may be hard to see side-to-side. I am 5'6", weigh between 165 and 170 and I got the XL to make sure I had room to layer if needed. The coat fit slightly big, exactly what I wanted. The length is just below my butt, which is perfect. And the blue color is beautiful and as pictured. I can't wait to test this in Buffalo next month. Update: We went to the Bills/Patriots game in Buffalo. Temperatures were in the single digits. I did have on layers with such low temperatures, but I did not get cold. In fact, heading back to our vehicle, I was actually too warm. I would have been warm with less layers. This coat is 10 out of 10 for warmth!

I needed a warm jacket that wouldn't be heavy to wear in car. I'm a courier & in & out of car all day, so I wanted something comfortable, warm & wears well. Took a chance on this jacket, ordered an xl & it fit perfect. Covers below the butt....so no chills up the back!

This is a good quality jacket that will certainly keep you warm if you are a tall person. The reason I removed 1 star is because of the heaviness of the jacket; this jacket weighs at least 10 pds. That's what the postal office said. I'm short, 5'2". This jacket is good for medium to tall women, 5'7" and over. The sleeves on me were 6 inches too long. The hood was so big, it was swallowing me up. The hood was big enough to fit 3 heads in there. I usually wear between 1-2X but I got a 3x for room to spare for heavy sweater. It was a bit tight at the chest. I am quite busted, 42 DD and wear a size 16 pants. I was ok at the hips. Hope this helps you ladies. Note to Alpine North: Is it necessary to make this jacket so heavy? It's not very comfortable having to carry extra weight on your body coming from a jacket.

This is a very well made, high quality coat. I would say it fit about to size maybe slightly smaller than expected but not necessarily to increase your size. I like that the hood was detachable and still left a collar to zip up around your neck. Cuffs in the sleeves to help keep snow out of your jacket. A thoughtful thumbhole in the cuff if needed for even more added stability. It is not as bulky as the popular puffer coats but it is fairly heavy and does have some bulk so for those looking for a light lighter midweight winter jacket this may not suit your purpose although it is not marshmallow man bulk. It had a lot of extras like interior pockets the thumb hole and other thoughtful things that you wouldn't think you needed until you have them. It's an attractive well-made very warm coat. I would recommend it for those who are active outdoors and in need of a warm coat.

I'm so happy with this jacket! I purchased this coat after a lot of research to find a plus-size parka that would fit my bust and not make me look like a marshmallow. I was nervous buying based on the size chart but I knew I could return it if needed, so I took the leap. I ordered a 3xl since I have a larger bust and broad shoulders and I normally have a very tough time finding a coat that will allow me to move comfortably when fully zipped. I probably would have been fine in a 2xl, but the 3xl isn't overly big and I can easily move my arms and wear a sweatshirt underneath. The coat itself is great quality and I love the sweater-like cuff on the sleeve, it adds extra warmth and keeps snow out. It's a heavier coat and feels like it will keep me nice and warm in the negative winter temperatures of Northern New York. The fur on the hood is exactly what I was looking for, nice and fluffy and high quality. Overall I would highly recommend this coat to anyone looking for a fashionable and functional plus-sized parka.

I thought that I had ordered the coat in black, but must have clicked blue. I wound up very happy with the blue coat received as it is a favorite coat color. I wasn't certain from reviews as to what size to order as I tend to wear very bulky sweaters in the winter and layer clothes. The XXL was perfect after I checked and went by the manufacturers recommendationd. The faux fur is cozy and beautiful to wear. I love the light but warm insulation. The extra pockets are so handy on the sleeves and the bottom side pockets are really nice as they are larger and deep. You can easily store your gloves. I have a lot of allergies and this coat was just great with no animal fur or down. Also no wool but a great poly blend. If you have fabric allergies, this type of winter wear is wonderful.
