The compass is fine. I've never actually had to use it, but I've tested it several times and it points in the right direction.I'm mostly writing this review because there were no other reviews on this particular product. Some of the other reviews say the their product broke. I've had this on my key-chain for about a month, and have had no problems.I like the style. However, the prongs do add to the size. Since I hang a lot of things from my key-chain, this isn't much of an issue for me. My collective key-chain bulk already spans the breadth of this compass.

Beautiful metal, small enough to fit on keychain, but large enough to take up space. Amazing gift to any piano locer

Came apart first day. Had to repair it twice in a week. Came apart and lost tape.
