Very well rated dog and cat food. Cat eats without any issue and has for almost 10 years. Wellness is one of the most highly rated animal foods and feel it is worth the extra price over cheaper brands. Uses quality ingredients and recommended by numerous authors and vets.

I've never left a review on this but I've used it for 7 years for 3 of my personal cats, over 40 foster cats, and 3 hedgehogs. 1 for her whole life and never had health problems. The salmon and the chicken flavor are extremely well balanced nutrition wise for cats. Also good for hedgehogs. I've had both lol. Love this food. Check cat food db for nutritional comparison and rating but it's awesome. Pets love it. Coats shine. Kibble is good for teeth health. The smell is neutral and minor. Kibble pieces are small which is more comfortable for cats and hedgehogs. ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, the salmon flavor can give hedgies softer stool and a light smell (not diarrhea but just wetter stool) due to the oils but it doesn't harm them at all.

Good product my cat love is it

My cat has been on a fantastic protein dense kibble but, him is getting really chunky! So it was time to move him to something a little lighter in the calorie department. I spent many hours researching foods before landing on this food by Wellness. On paper, it's a fantastic food! When I received and opened the food, it smelled like it should be appetizing to my feline as well. I mixed in a 25/75% of new to old and sat it down for him, he went right to it and started eating, but quickly began spitting out the Wellness kibbles. In short order, he lost all trust in his food dish and went on a hunger strike until I could convince him to trust his old food again. Stressed and disappointed that he didn't like the food I spent so much time finding for him, I wrote to Wellness about their "catisfaction guarantee" and within 3 weeks they sent me out a check to reimburse me for the food my feline didn't like. I gave the food 4 stars because I still believe it's a good food, just my cat is toooo picky (he also won't eat any, and I mean ANY, wet food. Have you ever heard of such?). I went through 3 more weight-control foods before finally finding one he would eat. I'm still disappointed but very pleased with my interaction with Wellness and still believe this is a good food.

as stated in the title, my fourteen year old kind of heavy cat likes this food. i was using another brand and he was up to fifteen pounds which was the equivalent of a five foot nine inch two hundred and sixty pound person. he's been on it for less than a year and is now down to thirteen pounds with maybe another pound to go. don't want to go too light as we all know when our animals get sick they lose weight so quickly. he also takes phenobarbital which can affect his eating but in his case it has not. overall good ingredients and one of the lower fat amount for dry food. i also am limiting his treats and looking at the fat content for can food which he gets a teaspoon in the morning because i also give him lysine for allergies and have to have some type of liquid for the lysine powder. other than that he is fairly healthy and semi active. i'm going to continue using wellness for its quality and reasonable pricing. the food is smaller than other brands but a five pound plus bag last for a long time. UPDATE...he has been on it consistently now without any other type of food and limited treats and he now weight 11.8 to 12.0 depending on his poo and pee. Loves the food and for some reason it is always on sale when I need it again so it's a great deal and has him drinking more water. He is now very active running through the house and he turned fifteen a couple of days ago.

My cat was suffering with food allergies which would cause rashes under tail, behind ears under chin etc. Both our cats would shed like crazy. After the first few weeks we immediately noticed a change in fur shedding and texture is now soft like silk. No more rashes, loss of hair or itching. We had previously been using Iams sensitive stomach and skin. When you compare ingredients it's night and day difference.

Our cat is 13 years old, and she absolutely loves this food. It is easy for her to chew and it seems to give her great energy throughout the day. Her coat looks shinier, her digestion has improved. It’s reassuring to find a food that not only meets her nutritional needs as a senior cat but also makes her genuinely happy.

From the ingredient list, this is an overall healthy cat food. There are no cheap and unhealthy fillers/carbs like tapioca starch, oatmeal, corn or soy. Cats do not require these at all in any amount as they only cause health issues in the long term. My cat loves it and every time I open the bag he comes to me purring. Unfortunately the price has doubled since I bought it and is now unaffordable so I will have to look elsewhere. It's really too bad because this was the only cat food I could find with decent ingredients that is grain free and low carb at a reasonable price. I'm sure it's inflation but I just didn't expect the cost to jump this much. Otherwise I'd give it a 5 star rating.
