What an amazing little rod , I took it all the way to Norway , as I spare Ros as we were hiring rods,it was so much fun it was almost used constantly ,its flexibility was unbelievable .it caught fish after fish , the biggest being a 12 and half pound haddock with no problem at all . It was as light as a feather and I got it in my ruck sack easily The price was great too Thank. I have enclosed a picture of my friend catching on it … Thank you . Anthea

This is class. Fits perfectly in my motorcycle pannier along with other essential tackle. I now have a full fishing setup ready to grab and go if the mood takes me. It’s lightweight, sturdy and extremely well designed and made. I even caught some fish with it.

So i bought this because I want to take up fishing and saw it had good reviews and was from a uk company. Not used it yet. it seems high quality from what I can tell, but I'm new to this. There is a pretty big scratch or what I think is a scratch on one of the poles though which shouldn't affect use. Will update after I've used it. * update used the rod and found it light and very easy to use. I was also sent a replacement peice by the seller. Good service. People and product

I was looking for compact rod that I could easily take with me on the plane or camping trip on motorbike and Rigged and Ready travel rods ticked all boxes. I was after sturdier and longer rod that would fit in my rucksack and decided to get Smuggler 7. Rod feels great, has nice action and is very well built. It comes with two tips allowing choice of different casting weights and rod actions. So far had just few chub and perch and still waiting for first big catch. Might even give it a go on carp fishing session. In case of Rigged and Ready rod is only part of the experience. Their customer service is next to none! On my last fishing trip I pushed tip way to hard while assembling the rod. Had no problem for4h fishing but when I tried to remove the tip it would not move... Long story short I broke my rod. Emailed Andy @ Rigged and Ready, explained what happened and with no questions asked got my replacement parts arranged. Today morning after just few days received delivery. I was shocked when I opened it and saw not only parts that I needed but some extras too! Two additional tips, cool pin and what totally amazed me extra handle that takes just 6th part of the rod and the tip giving you tiny rod perfect for child, ice or dock fishing. What a great idea and surprise. Fantastic product complimented with outstanding customer service. You can be sure I recommend you to every angler I know!

Quality unbelievable for the price point. Thats before we start on the convenience. Clearly a market leader on the product type.

My first rod after getting into fishing recently. Caught trout, perch and pike on it. Very rod good. all rounder it seems No issues at all Great for travelling and can be set up and fishing in under 5 mins

We bought this for a present in June as wanted it for a gift for July as our friends went to Ireland fishing for a week. First had of using it it broke at the handle which is the thickest part of the rod. As you can image he wasn’t not best pleased and nor was we. He had to see if he could borrow a rod for the rest of the week. I would like to get in touch with the seller and get a full refund if anyone can help me please do

This is really great rod. I brought it with me to Hawaii and was easily able to store the tube inside my carry-on luggage (Ebags TLS Mother Lode). It is a moderate/medium action rod with medium power. I was able to really bomb 3/8oz sinkers as well as casting bubbles whipping for Papio (trevally) and other fish. The rod is a bit forward-heavy so adding counterweights might not be a bad idea. I paired it with a Daiwa Fuego LT 3000 and it cast like a dream - I could get super far casts on it and the split grip makes it easy to grab for extra leverage. I found that I had to hold the rod higher up (above the grip) at times since I would get fatigued after a while with it being so forward-heavy. I figure that's a trade-off with multi-section rods though. One minor issue/concern with the QC - the first rod I received had a guide tip where some of the metal was bent out of shape, and a few of the guides were bent out as well. I immediately packed it up and sent it back for an exchange. The replacement rod was much better but I noticed the guides weren't 100% centered. More attention/detail could be put into the guide wrapping job on these. It also would be nice if there were a hook-keeper. The ferrules and joints of some of the section would come loose and twist around after prolonged periods casting. Several times the tip flew off but fortunately I never lost it. I wasn't sure what to expect with this rod but it's a really nice pack rod for travel and packs down more compact than any other rod I've seen. I do wish they had one in the same length (or even longer) that was slightly lighter maybe like an ML. This is a great all-around rod though. EDIT: I just realized this rod actually measures right around 8'6 - so it's actually longer than advertised lol. EDIT #2 (11/4/2020): Since writing/updating this review, I noticed that there were additional pieces/tips added to this rod so out of curiosity on how I could purchase the additional tips I emailed the company and got in touch with the owner, Andy. Andy was kind enough to send a couple tips out to me on his own dime! I just got them today and am excited to give them a shot (I fish the surf in SoCal primarily). With the heavier/shorter tip I plan to bait and wait with 2-4oz pyramid sinkers and hi-lo rig for the rockier areas/beaches. The lighter tip I'm curious to try c-rigging with grubs/Gulp Camo Sandworms but also fishing jerkbaits and dropshotting even. I am compelled to upgrade this review to 5 stars due to the outstanding customer service. And I'm already planning on buying the X5 Max sometime in the near future. Thanks Andy!

Die (Steck)Rute ist durch die vielen kleinen Teile sehr handlich und gut für Urlaub geeignet. In der Box sind die Einzelteile in der Tasche sehr gut geschützt. Alles sehr durchdacht. Nachteil: Man muss die Montage halt jedesmal vor Gebrauch neu machen.

Super canne bonne qualité beau design et surtout super pratique, bonne sensibilité et sensation ( pour l’instant j’ai pris du bar et de la vieille et poisson de très bonnes tailles ) Bien la rincer après avoir pêcher en mer car les anneaux ont tendance à rouiller sinon j’en suis très content 👍

Not bad for a rod that can change tips. No problem handling Fishes weighing 3kg and below..
