Richards Homewares - Closet Accessories 24 Tie Hardwood Hanger Walnut (3-Pack)

I'm using three of the dark walnut Richards Homewares 24 Tie Hardwood Hanger. For the type of tie storage solution that I was looking for, this looked to be the best fit. I needed a traditional hanger shape, so that it wouldn't take up more hangar bar space than absolutely necessary. The look and tie storage layout is nice. I like the hanger, but I have a few complaints. All of the tie holder clips on all three hangers are too tight. They are pinched together, so I can't slide a tie into the clip like they show in the picture. So I just have the ties laying on top of each clip, rather than in the clip. Also it's hard to get an undamaged one. I'm not sure if it's a production issue or a shipping issue, but it's hard to find one that doesn't have knicks, cracks, dents, or scratches in it. There is also an issue with the finish quality. Under the nice, dark, rich wood finish it's a super light tan, so any knicks in the dark finish shows the super light tan underneath. This makes the damage stand out like sore thumb.

These are the best tie organizers for those with tons of ties! BUT the wire clips were bent in so tightly, I couldn't slide ties into place without damaging them. I had to first use pliers to open up every single one (I bought a 3-pack) - NOT FUN!!

Metal tie holders are too tight. Needed to pry them open with a screwdriver to be able to slip ties in. Takes about 5 minutes per rack. But I knew this when it bought them so I wasn't surprised. The price is right.

It's a tie hanger. With minor adjustments to the spacing of tie hooks to meet your tie's thickness, it works just fine. Unless, you live in a museum, where quality plays a crucial role.

Definitely a great product, saves a lot of space and keeps my husband's closet organized. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they came in kind of scuffed up like they had been used before.

Wow - if you have ties to hang, and you want them to be on a hanger shaped sort of thing made of hardwood for around 8 bucks - then this may be your thing. I found it effectively countered the effects of gravity when used as demonstrated (see the picture on this site in case you can't figure it out) and it was able to hold all sorts of ties, regardless of what color they were. As an added bonus, the curved metal hook part on top fits my closet rod AS IF THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. Spectacular. One warning: ties shown DO NOT COME WITH THIS. Most of them aren't my taste anyway, so no biggie.

The clips are rough and snag my ties. The clips are also way too tight as other reviewers have pointed out.In order to use this product I had to bend open all of the clips and then sand them down (in the process removing the chrome finish) so that my ties would fit in the clips and not snag.

The clips that hold the ties are sometimes too close together making it very difficult to slip the tie under the clip. A good point though, is that the ties do not slip off.
