Benefits of Binchotan Charcoal

Binchotan is an active carbon stick harvested from tree branches. The charcoal stick is ideal use for a water filter due to its ability to soften water, balance the PH level, add good minerals and absorb unwanted contaminants such as chlorine.

How It Works

Fill the glass bottle with drinkable tap water first before placing your charcoal to avoid breaking the stick. Please note if your charcoal stick breaks, it will still perform and do its water purification job.

Easy Cleaning

To clean your 1 litre water jug you can wash it by hand with soap or place in the dishwasher. Please note that the natural cork is not dishwasher friendly and you need to remove the charcoal stick before washing it.

Make sure not to leave water standing for extended periods of time as this might cause mould. If there is mould on the cork stopper, simply clean it with lemon juice, followed by boiling water and then allow the cork to dry out.
