Does using a non Go Pro battery affect the Go Pro warrenty in any way?

I am not sure about the warranty but I can say we are using these on our Go-pro without any problems, in fact 99% of the time we were in Japan that's all we used.I would confirm with the manufacturer but I would think they would only approve the brand. More $$$$

Can you charge an OEM GoPro battery in this charger?

Sure can...these batteries are likely produced in the same plant as the GoPro OEM ones. They look identical except for the printing on the labels.

which is the difference between this and the rechargeable battery for the go pro

The only difference I can tell is the paper wrap around the two batteries. This wrap prevents the GoPro battery from remaining firmly in the Wasabi charger like the Wasabi batteries do. If you hold the GoPro battery in the charger, it will charge. As soon as you let go of it, it doesn't remain in contact and, thus, does not charge.

Do you need to get a different back to the gopro 3 black to fit these batteries or are they the same size as the battery that comes in the gopro

I have a Hero 3 Silver and the Wasabi batteries are the same size as the Gopro batteries supplied with the unit.
