Lockatap PDSLT001 Tap Lock, Green,12.5 x 6.5 x 7 cm

It appears to be of robust plastic, and was very easy to position onto the outside tap! We have had to purchase this equipment as our neighbour was seen taking buckets of water from our back garden (where the outside tap is situated on our house wall) whilst we were away on holiday! We have also ordered a new wooden garden gate, as a previous one rotted, and we hadn’t replaced it before we went away!!

These are brilliant. Bought to keep the little one from messing with the outside tap. They are quiet flimsy and I'm sure an adult could rip them off with a bit of force. I bought it to stop little hands so it does the job for me.Comes with a lock and key. Easy to install. Works exactly as described.

Arrived with padlock inside it. Two halves clip together at the top, closes over your tap then padlock underneath. For it to fit my tap I had to remove a bit of insulation at the back of the tap which I will replace. It’s not a strong plastic so I am sure could easily be broken off but it serves it’s purpose and hopefully will deter any would be water pinchers as we now have a water meter fitted. The neighbours are having builders in and they do not have an outside tap. Water has been used by them before, not this time!The item is expensive for what it is and only time will tell whether it was worth it. The good thing is it comes with 3 keys.

It was easy enough to fit and covered the tap on a water butt without any issue. We have the water butt in a church yard where we have a garden to water and someone had been repeatedly putting the tap on and emptying it. (In fact someone had also wrenched the top off and deposited presumably stolen credit cards there too!) We wanted to use rainwater rather than the paid-for supply from the church and so we had access to water when the church isn't open. However, it's no good as a security device we've discovered as within a few weeks someone had managed to wrench off this plastic cover (it broke at the base where it's at its thinnest) and we don't know where the combination padlock is that we'd got for it either. We didn't use the supplied padlock and key because several people needed to have access to it and it looked rather small and flimsy anyway. I'll try a metal one now, but if they are really determined I expect they'll knock that off with a brick or something. Why they want to do this I don't know, but some who sit in the church yard and spend too much time there are unfortunately not pillars of society.

Easy to put on. A bit flimsy but will discourage normal people from using the tap.

Easy to fit.

Very handy bit of kit when your outside tap is not hidden away and easily accessible to anyone. Fits well on a standard external tap and very sturdy padlock that comes with. Highly recommend for a cheap solution.

Useless. Made of flimsy plastic that can just be easily forced. Took my 7 year old grandson 1 minute to push it off the tap
