Spectrum 1st Grade Phonics Workbooks, Vowel, Consonant, and Ending Sounds and Pairs, Letters, Words, and Sentence Writing Practice, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum

Very good practice and supplimental work for my kids. I purchased the Math, Reading, Language Arts, and Phonics books for them in 1st grade and Kindergarten (this is being used for an older vpker). Since using these work books our kids have gone up in test scores and are getting better at reading. I'll be buying more as the years go on.

I used these books to tutor 4 1st graders. The books were arranged with emphasis on first letters of words and then ending sounds of similar words, and exercises for both vowels and consonants. The only problem was some words referred to items not found in current urban environments such as wells, etc.

This book was a massive winner for us. It kept my son engaged and learning, while feeling like he wasn't doing a mountain of work. This book worked well for us to reinforce things he already knew. These books are a tool, not a curriculum. If these topics are new to your kid, find something to go with it as it doesn't explain the topics very well or at all.

Perfect for blending words; good for learning.

Great workbook. Came a little bent up. I got this for my 5 year old son who just started kindergarten. However he comes home everyday and says he’s bored because he knows everything being taught in class. This workbook is exactly what he needed to challenge him (first grade level).

I like the steps/pages in this book. My son is making progress in this book. Not too hard or easy just right to enforce what he has already learned.

I purchased this book for my kindergartner. It helped reinforce her reading skills and built her confidence. We paired this book off with YouTube video lessons from Have Fun Teaching, Hello Carrie YouTube Lessons and other YouTube lessons for blends. We also used 180 Days of Reading for Kindergarten then 180 Days of Reading for 1st grade. We just added Sylvan Language Arts, 1st grade. I also recommend Spectrum Language Arts books grade k. There is not enough practice pages in the Spectrum Language Arts Grade 1 book.

I've been using this as part of my 6 year old's 1st grade homeschool curriculum. The work sheets are colorful, which makes it more interesting and simple instructions and they aren't so long. I really feel these activities have helped my son with reading. Other than learning sight words, he's actually learning the phonetics with this book.

Fun and colorful inside. It starts very basic which was helpful and is well organized.

É um bom livro. No entanto, obviamente, é preciso lembrar que foi idealizado para alfabetização de nativos. Uso com o meu casal de gêmeos de 7 anos, mas faço algumas adaptações, uma vez que eles não têm automatizado o conhecimento de muitos dos vocábulos presentes no livro.
