Quality.
This is the best higonokami I've had to date. Nice and feel, sharp edge. And no, it doesn't lock or anything, but anyone who knows what these knives are would know that.

Looks cool. Practical for light use?
It looks cool. Nicely packaged. Not very practical. No spring, no locking mechanism. But the blade stays fairly well in place, open or locked. It's not loose. It's basically just a convenience tool for me. I work in a kitchen. Use it for opening bags, and boxes mostly.I paid 29.00 for ea. Bought two as gifts and one for myself. If it's handmade I guess I understand the price. But I feel like it's worth maybe $10-15.
