Perfect fit & finish, easy to use.

I was going to give this item fewer stars because of a small defect in the delivered item. There was a burr on the key that prevented it from being inserted more than half way. I removed the burr with a small file and the lock works perfectly... turns easily and is very smooth. I like the all brass barrel and pins and consider they will last longer than cheap locks. The main reason I elevated this back to 5 stars is that the Customer Service was the best I have ever encountered. They immediately offered an exchange or a full refund and followed up with me until I was satisfied. With the burr removed the lock is perfect and I elected to keep it and still the Customer Service indicated that they contacted their QC department and requested better inspections. I've rarely ever heard of such attention and to me that makes all the difference. The steel and other materials are of top quality and the weather seal over the lock fits well. I have no reservations in recommending this set.

I have 2018 Silverado, works great on the factory hitch. It's about an 1" to long. I just took some fat "O" rings and put a few on each end and the pin stays secure and doesn't slide back and forth. Seems well built, the locking end is tight. Appears very heavy duty. I have it had a couple of months, still looks brand new. I live in Michigan, so we will see how it holds this winter when they start salting the roads. *****UP DATE**** 6/28/21....The only issue after 1 year of use is that rubber dust cap is dry rotted, would be nice if the cap lasted more than a year to keep the dust, dirt etc. out of the locking mechanism.*******

The product was easy to use and functionally performed as you would expect when locking and unlocking. When I purchased it, it was rated as a Class IV which is capable of towing 10,000-12,000 lbs. I even checked their website and it listed it as such. When I used it the one time on my 8,000 lbs trailer, it warped and bent out of shape in a way that I had never seen before. I took a photograph of the EleMake hitch lock (below) next to another brand to show the warping. The only thing I would trust it to do if I was going to buy a new one would be to keep a hitch cover in its place. Edit: Since I had posted this review several things happened at once. One, the manufacturer reached out to me and offered either a refund or a replacement. I should have reached out to EleMake first and discussed my options with them. They made good on the warranty of their product.

I was immediately struck by the slick, smooth finish. Looked like an art object but strong and capable at the same time. Not a rough edge anywhere, all smooth and polished. Long enough for heavy duty hitches, convenient to lock and unlock. My impression is a secure, professional lock at a good price.

Fits nice and snug and after months of wet/dirty road driving, the lock easily work still.

Super Sache, Lieferung kam prompt und gut verpackt an. Inzwischen nutze ich das Schloss regelmäßig und stelle fest, dass es an den Kontaktstellen zur Aufnahme Rost ansetzt. Lässt sich aber wieder abrubbeln. Bin sehr zufrieden

far better quality materials, including brass lock Better than other hitch products for sale. finally one that will fit my double thick 2 inch hitch. 3rd one I had to purchase to get a proper fit. I highly recommend this.
