The Book Binding Handbook (Artist's Bibles) Spiral-bound – July 28, 2008

If you already own BookWorks, by the same author - don't buy this book... it is the SAME book... I will be returning mine this week. It needs to be stated somewhere on the website that this is a reprint of a previous book - new copyright date, new publisher, new title - SAME book!The book is good and and deserves more stars - but cannot give it more because it is not new... wish I could send a review without star rating it.

Excellent book with comprehensive coverage of aspects of bookmaking, clear instructions and good illustrations. Spiral bound format is great for practical handbooks, no trying to grow a third hand to hold the book open at the correct page while using the other two to attempt the instructions! Would have been 5 stars except I didn't realise it was the US edition (and I did try to check before ordering) and of course the Suppliers section at the back is of no use to me here in the UK. OK I can search the Internet for UK suppliers but there's still the problem (common to many crafts) of different brands and terminology.

Clear easy to understand instructions. Clear, easy to understand illustrations. Well thought out format. Small size and ringbound so is easy to use. Lots of inspiration.

I thought, I would never understand it while reading through the book, but then I just STARTED doing books and it is absolutely understandable, step by step instruction and I can't stop making books now !

On receipt good as expected. I think on frequent use the pages will detach from the coiled binder.To be used in a bookbinding class

The book was a present for a friend, but I am assured that it was easy to follow and quite comprehensive - thank you.
