Amazingly Accurate
Nicole Hunn is my new favorite baker/blogger. Her recipes, if you follow them correctly and measure by weight, will come out perfect every time. Not only that, but her style of writing and relatability is so on point that you feel like you're sitting down eating some gluten free biscuits with her (that you made all by yourself from scratch, go you!)! She walks you through how to save money and find the best products that produce accurate, consistent results every time. She suggested Better Batter for GF flour, and I have now purchased from them and can attest that they are amazing. Their quality is so high above the standard that it hardly compares to any other GF flour (and believe me, I've tried most all of them over the years of having been GF since childhood). If you're hesitating buying this book for any reason, find the room in your budget to make this easy purchase that will change your whole world of being GF! It's not an easy thing to be GF, but Nicole Hunn makes it enjoyable and straightforward!

Gluten free, but not healthy
I found most of the recipes to rely HEAVILY on substitutes such as Xanthan GUM, which is not found in nature. There are many sources of information regarding this as being linked to digestive problems, and for me personally, this additive turns my intestines into knots. While the FDA has indicated it's ok to consume, and many people have no issues with it, there is a lot of evidence to the contrary for many others. There are healthier substitutions that provide similar results for baking and I would encourage the author to explore healthier alternatives.

Lots of recipes for Gluten Free
This author definitely has done a lot of research and effort into creating these recipes. I wish I could use GF flour locally, but I have to send away for her required blends. Love the variety included.

GF food that tastes good!
I'm new to the gluten/dairy/soy life, but I've tried the foods periodically over the years. She has bread recipes that don't crumble, and they taste good. What a relief to know I'll be able to keep making my own food.

Xanthan gum in most baking recipes
If you’re someone who tries to avoid xanthan gum, this isn’t the cook book for you. The recipes I have followed are good regarding the cooking things which don’t have xanthan gum in them. I personally wouldn’t have purchased had I known that but if you don’t mind that stuff then this is great book for you.

This book will pay for itself over and over again. 5+ Stars!
Using the better than cup4cup all purpose flour recipe on page 21 I made the white sandwich bread on page 109 and it was amazing. I haven't put all my costs together yet but I have to imagine it will come in well under the $7+ per loaf for gluten free bread at my local store and it tastes great. I can easily see making sandwiches, french toast, or whatever with this bread. Very happy I got this cookbook thank you Nicole Hunn for this.

Bought One for Myself After Gifting My Mom One!
We got one for my mom for Christmas and I decided I needed one too. I've made several desserts from the book and everything is so yummy! I love the tips Nicole gives on how to eat on a budget, that's helpful because having been diagnosed with celiac disease my food budget tripled. This book helped me cut my costs to almost half of what I was spending and helped me have more confidence in making stuff from scratch. I thought it would be too time consuming to make stuff from scratch which would be hard since I have chronic pain and fatigue so I was worried about how much effort it might take. Surprisingly it doesn't take more than 20 minutes standing time to make most things from scratch. This book is wonderful, you have to get a copy for your home!

Great recipes!
These are great recipes. I had borrowed another one of her books from the library so decided to pick this up based on that. It has recipes that are not needing all kinds of unique ingredients you will never use again. The other items are budget friendly. Nice and simply written as well. I am new to baking (yup after 50 years of life) due to gluten intolerance. I need things "dumbed down" for lack of a better term. This is a great book for that.

Good but ingredients hard to source
Great recipes and well explained, plus there is a website to go to for further information if required or of interest. Many of the ingredients can only be bought in the US. Amazon in the U.K. lists some of them but they seem to be permanently ‘currently not available’. I’ve checked on line but the price of shipping is prohibitively expensive. You obviously can get alternatives in the U.K. but GF baking is all about consistency and not all flour is equal. So for the ingredients reason I give this 4 stars.

Wonderful Recipes
I just received the cookbook today. This is a birthday gift for my daughter who is always trying to find good gluten free recipes. I glanced through the book and the recipes look very appetizing. I like that there are photos of each recipe that makes everything look so yummy. I hope my daughter enjoys making gluten free food now and especially while saving money because ready made gluten free foods are very expensive.

GF cakes, pastry and biscuits that actually taste great.
There are inconsistencies in how the measurements are given ie some are in imperial measurements and some metric. But.... The book is absolutely worth it. The cakes are the best and most consistent cakes we have made in 4 of gluten free living. The sweet pastry is absolutely worth it and our supermarket doesn't sell pizza bases anymore so have started making out own and they work great. The fauz Oreo recipe is great too.
