Lots of info and lots of laughs!
Used this guidebook along with Rick Steves' book. I loved having both. Lonely Planet writers kept us entertained with funny comments and reviews of certain sights or tours. Lots of information and lots of laughs!! A well traveled friend recommended Lonely Planet guidebooks and I am so glad she did!

A disappointment
The least-good Lonely Planet guide I've ever used. I've relied on LP for many years in many countries and this one just doesn't cut it.

Highly recommend.
Very helpful in learning about Czech. Gave me a lot of subject matter to spark up convos with natives while i was there. Highly recommend.

Easy to read and the maps are a great addition.

Information complete at all
Czech republic is more than Prague and other cities. For example, Bohemian Switzerland national park is also a very popular place for hiking, but this book covers nothing about it.

More pages on beer than UNESCO sites
Another terrible Lonely planet guide...I have found it very badly written. There are more pages on eating/sleeping/drinking than on the description of UNESCO sites. Also, what can we stop mentioning Italian/French restaurants all around the world in these local guides? When you visit Prague's castle, Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hore, etc, the guide does not give any detailed history explainations and it is just useless. But then you have many pages talking about beer, beer, beer, as if Czechia is only about beers and as if all the English speaking people were only interested in this and couldn't be interested in culture or history.Prague and Czechia are amazing, this guide is not.

Exactly as described
Been using Lonely Planets for many years, excellent guide to Prague especially where to eat and what times of day to avoid the main tourist traps!

Poor quality
As you can see in the screenshots this travel guide has lots of confusing formatting issues. The content is limited and poorly organised making it hard to navigate.

Great guides
Bought for an impending trip to Prague. Lonely Planet guides are always clearly presented and full of little gems.
