Why in the world has the soundtrack of this important award-winning film never been made available in a CD? The soundtrack absolutely transports the film viewer into what is, at least, a very evocative semblance of Gandhi's world. The music establishes the atmosphere and helps one better understand the environment that could produce such a tremendous spiritual leader. I was mesmerized and deeply affected by the film, and the music that supported it. So why, all these years later, can one only get it on vinyl or audio cassette???

Gandhi CD - the long wait .........

I agree with the other reviewer. Why has this magnificent soundtrack never been released on CD. I am lucky to have owned a now long departed LP of this music, and have been waiting over 30 years now for a CD release to replace my precious CDR burnt from my LP!
