Great Teaching Tool
The Tech Will Save Electro Dough-Luxe Kit is an interesting way to teach kids about electricity. I consulted a family member who is a middle school science teacher about what age kid could use it. She felt that with some limited instruction, it would be very good for 6th graders in particular. The instructions for its use say 4 year old and older. A four year old might be able to participate in using the Dough-Luxe Kit, but would likely require constant supervision with it, except creating shapes with the dough. Having taught in the middle and high school myself, I would question how much the younger kids would get out of the experience. It's not that it is dangerous, other than a poke in the eye from the wires, it's just more than many kids might be able to grasp. The science teacher also felt that the brighter of the middle school kids would have more fun and spend more time with it. Others would likely become bored. In any case kids of any age would require a parent or older kid to help them understand how to use the kit and also what they were seeing happen. I do feel it is a great idea to explain electricity, especially for those, like myself, who learn much better in a tactile or visual way.

Great intro kit to circuits -- kids will want to learn more after playing with this
My 7 and 10 year olds had such a good time bringing dough "to life". This is a very simple kit, but it's easy to see the cause and effect of the electricity. My kids were totally blown away by conducting dough!
