Acid Relief with Enzymes
It does help. I have osteoporosis and most of the Acid Reflux meds work against it. I take as needed along with the generic Alka Seltzer Smoothies. Also if you should pull up Dr. Ox on Utube regarding acid reflux he recommends DGL, 2 tabs before meals along with a 3 mg. melatonin 2 hrs. before bedtime (involves the sphincter)...he also recommends baking soda (old remedy); however, I found a foot swelling which for me means too much sodium, so stopped the baking soda. Over eating contributes as well as some foods. I have had an endoscopy this year and was told we all think our esophagus is a straight shoot to the stomach, but there are twists and turns especially as we age. I have had it so bad that I will at times throw up...no nausea, just a watery mouth and OK when relieved. I am working on trying to figure out how to relieve this irritation w/o medications. Seems you can't win for losing sometime + the meds were doing no better.
