Patagonia Women's Everlong Trail Running Shoe

This is my second pair of Patagonia shoes. I find them really comfortable. I had gone to a store that specializes in athletic shoes and they suggested going up a size. I have Brooks and Saucony shoes I purchased there. I purchased the same size in these and the fit is as good or better than the others.I wanted to comment on the Catalan Coral. I really wanted to get some shoes in red. With the name being Coral, I hesitated to get these. They looked red in the picture, but you often can't tell from a picture. I put them in my wish list, so, of course, they showed up from time to time, reminding me that they were there. I finally decided to take a chance. To me, the color is red, an orangey-red as opposed to a violet-red. The laces are more of a Coral color - kind of a pink/orange. I'm wearing them today with a red shirt and I think they go well together. I find the picture is pretty accurate of the color.

I'd give these 10 stars if I could. My hiking companion told me to buy another pair when I got home, that's how much I was gushing about them on the hikes. Bought another pair in a different color almost immediately after my epic 4-day spring hiking in Colorado weather (rain, mud, slush, slippery rock, hail, you name it - we had it). Yet with a pair of smartwool socks not only were my feet miraculously dry but the shoes even stayed clean/nice-looking! I went to the airport straight from the hike and didn't feel weird walking around in these. They're COMFY like nobody's business, I bought them to replace my Nike Air originally but now that I know how well they do on all sorts of hikes I'll wear nothing but these. Oh and last but not least, they BREATHE so well. I live in Atlanta and run/walk my dogs in all sorts of weather and humidity level - I can wear them barefoot or with socks, love love love love them.

The sizing of these shoes boggles the mind. I am distance runner, an 8-8.5 in regular shoes, most often a 9 in running shoes (all of my various Sauconys are 9s). The 9s in these were too small - not enough room for a thumbwidth between my big toe and the end of the shoe, and they were a little narrow in the toebox. No problem, just go up a half size, I thought, so I ordered the 9.5s. The difference in size is dramatic. The 9.5s are too big to be wearable - they feel like an entire size up from the 9s. Though the pairs are marked on the tongues as 9s and 9.5s respectively, I honestly wonder if one of them might be mismarked, the difference in size is so big. If it is not an error and is due to Patagonia's sizing, then it seems like a poor idea to make a shoe with such variation in sizing that my very average sized foot cannot be accommodated.

I purchased as a second pair of work out shoes. They do not have the same ankle or arch support of my Dansko Running Shoes, (Which cost approx $150 - and when it comes to shoes - You get what you pay for, believe me). But for the $55.00 I paid for the Patagonia, they are perfect for less strenuous workouts, walks or simply a change of fit on my feet. They are also very light weight, attractive and "airy" which makes them a nice change of shoe (ideal to toss into my purse and change into after a long day of wearing my heals from hell!).Note, these shoes are not easy just to slip into - I find I have to loosen the shoestrings quite a bit before slipping my foot into the shoe. And they are a little snug around the top of my foot. However, I believe this will loosen in time as I am just breaking them in. Any everyone knows that a good pair of sneakers - takes some work to feel 100% comfortable.

I absolutely love these shoes--so much so that I bought two (one in the Tailored Grey and one in the Catalan Coral)! They are super light and flexible. I have been wearing these everywhere and I have yet to be disappointed.A note on sizing: I originally ordered a 5, which fit well length-wise but were narrow. I was able to wear a thin sock comfortably, however if I wanted to wear a thicker sock, I would not be able to do so. As such, I ordered a half size up and it fits perfectly! I must say, though, if you have a wide foot, these may not work for you; they are meant to be a little bit snug to your foot, which means the width of the shoe is more narrow than a running shoe.All in all, these are great, however I would suggest ordering a half size up from your normal size in order for the shoes to fit comfortably.

I have very bad feet with everything wrong with them you can think of -- hammertoes, flat feet, no padding on balls of feet, so finding comfortable shoes is an ongoing dilemma. So far I have found these extremely comfortable with plenty of padding, plenty of room for my toes and yet not too wide or too narrow. I can take long hikes amazingly comfortably. they are very lightweight and yet you don't feel every rock under you and they are very stable feeling. My feet do get quite warm in them, though I think that would be the case with all tennis shoes for me! Love these so far!

These shoes fit really well! They are also extremely lightweight and have great airflow! I can feel a breeze come through the sides of the shoes which really helps keep my feel cool. They dry pretty fast if you get them damp, such as from walking through dew-covered grass. I wear these shoes from 7 in the morning until 9 at night, and they stay comfy all day long. I am on my feet throughout the day, and through housework, dog training, and goat wrangling, these shoes keep my feet in good shape all day! I would definitely recommend these, and will likely purchase another pair in the future.

These shoes are comfortable and fit nicely. I don't have wide feet but they are wider than regular and these fit just fine. I wear them to the gym and out running errands. The only issue I have is unless I double knot the laces they come untied very easily. I have to make sure I pull them super tight when I put them on.
