Konig & Meyer Micro high-tech stand- 26125

I guess this is a fully fledged metal base for a standard height microphone stand.I bought this version (23320) to be used as an adjustable table mic stand for heavy mics.There is no way in hell that this stand could be knocked over by accident when used with the provided vertical screw in pole unless you try to mount something way too heavy.I’m using it with a Blue Reactor condenser mic (heavy mic) with no problems at all. The metal base has a rubber insert running around the circumference of the contact surface that works a treat.I might buy an ever shorter screw in pole to get the mic even lower (closer to the desk)If you want a tabletop mic stand or bass drum mic stand that isn’t going to fall over no matter what mic is attached to it, this is the one to getDiameter just under 25cm

An indsutry standard, with the same design and construction quality as the K&M "Topline" (210...) range, it's functional and well able to survive the usual studio and gig abuse. Tripod design and base weight give it great stability, even with the boom arm fully extended and carrying a range of mics including the usual Shure SM57,58, suspension mounts and various condensers. The boom hasn't distorted and the wing-nut joint has kept the boom in place in spite of heavy vibration.I've used it successfully to mic up my Marshall amp, both acoustic guitar and anglo-concertina when seated. The centre post on mine, looks a little shorter than the illustration, but you can easily position a mic, with it's centre 72cms off the ground when the boom is at an angle of 50 degrees from horizontal. And to about 85cms if you use the 130mm extenstion tube (part# 6-23200-3-55) from the table top mic stand (23200-300-55). Interchanging K&M parts can give quite a bit of flexibilty. And since the tripod base will easily fit into 40x40cms space you can also use this on a desktop or worktop.

Brilliant stand well made well worth the money would buy again .

I have deducted a star- please read to the end.I had to wait several weeks for this which was okay as it was noted in the description. When it arrived the Amazon box had opened at the end and the stand had become damaged during transit so the delivery driver said it had to be returned.So I was given a refund and ordered it again.After several weeks it arrived and again the end of the box had opened during transit and also the end of the manufacturer’s box had opened, leaving the stand to drop out of the packaging all together. I inspected the item and thankfully it was not damaged.In summary: An excellent mic stand that will last a very, very long time. In another league from the cheaper stands that struggle to hold a mic’s weight on an extended arm. The Amazon packaging is poorly done. Requires more tape on the end of the box please Amazon. Don’t order if you find disappointment difficult to deal with. If you can handle disappointment then this will probably be one of the most pleasing items you will ever purchase.

I’m a pro guitarist/vocalist and have just buggered up my second Hercules stand in the last 12 years.I did a quick internet search and decided on this telescopic boom , and telescopic stand.It arrived promptly and is robust. . Much thinner than my previous stands , but with these things it’s usually the fittings and adapters that eventually give up the ghost rather than the tubing.I haven’t gigged it yet , but it does seem to be a little bit more versatile, I’m really happy with the angles and fine adjustments . . .Time will tell . . .it also takes a Tc helicon performer quite easily on the tubing 😬

This is a good quality microphone stand. I did buy a cheap one as a 'get me by' , but the difference in stability and quality of construction of this stand is far superior. Yes it did cost a lot more but I think it was well worth the money. If you can afford to pay that bit extra , it would be money well spent. Konig and Meyer are a good make. I have been more than impressed with this stand so much so that I have purchased a second one.

Real weight in the base, threads that lock tight with little effort. Totally different beast to the cheap stands that flop with a tube mic on.

It is the best mic stand I have had. It is really sturdy, and the materials are the best in class. It has a 5-year warranty also.

I am very disappointed that the height adjustment and safety are made out of plastic (Polyamid). I was expecting a better build quality from Germany for $205.99CAD. Other than that it is built well enough and is easy to setup. Thankfully I can get replacements from the AVShop, part numbers 6-87610-1-55 and 6-86900-1-55. I have no complaints with the K&M 21231 Boom arm. Unless you get the K&M 215 or 218 adapter, you cannot use another boom arm with this stand. I strongly recommend using three sandbags with 7.5 pound dumbbell plates in them for a total of 45 pounds for stability. Don't exceed 45 lbs as the lock at the top of the tripod may slip as it is only rated for a 12kg concentric load. I solved that problem by installing a 30-mm locking ring (K&M 01-85-820-55), tommy bar (K&M 6-30351-1-55) and a M8 x 40 metric bolt. I had to cut one eighth of an inch from the bottom of the locking ring so it would fit when the stand is fully folded up. Don't reef the tommy bar or you may crush the 30-mm tube! I used Amazon Basics sandbags and Yes4All 7.5 pound dumbbell plates. You can look up my review on those.

This stand is well built, heavy, and stable. I used it almost fully extended with a with a Sure SM58 mic on the end. It was about 9 feet in the air on a wooden stage and did not waver. It would be nice if it had more cable clamps. I’ve used it both indoors and it has been stable on both concrete and grass.

Solid and sturdy with a great reach over the kit. Heavy to carry, but stable for large condensers mics.
