Westcott 15387 8-Inch Pink Ribbon Stainless Steel Scissors For Office and Home

I love scissors - I have many, many different kinds, even every decorative edge scissors I've ever seen. As much as I love them, I'm really rough on them. Ok, I kind of abuse them. Hello, my name is Katherine and I'm not nice to scissors. My behavior cuts to the bone - you see, I don't just cut paper...I cut everything. With the same pair of scissors. I don't know why I do this - I have several different utility knives, razor blades, tin snips, saws, aviation snips, electrician's scissors etc. For some reason, I still consistently reach for scissors - and the scissors don't like it. They "twang", come apart at the hinge, the blades go extremely dull, on and on - they just don't cut the mustard. One would think I would learn, but nope - I just buy more scissors. Always cheap scissors. (Except my Cutco Super Shears - those things rock, cutting stuff I would never believe had I not seen it myself.) Searching for strong, sharp scissors - at a cut rate price - means I have my work cut out for me. (I hope this isn't getting dull...) Sadly, I was forced to lay my last pair to rest. I take full responsibility - they were good scissors - really a cut above, but my insane expectations of them wore them out before their time. (This is when I realized that, in order to cut it out, therapy may be in order, but I digress...) I decided to order several different pairs so I wouldn't be unprepared. I think I finally found some that cut the mustard - and they are pink, so they look sharp. I haven't had these scissors for long (6 weeks or so), but so far, these are fantastic! They have put up with everything I've asked of them, and remained ready for more. The point is, the blades are a good length and are nice and sharp. When I cut a metal pin with them, only a minor nick was left in the metal - which did not affect their performance. After cutting some thick chipboard (cardboard) these were able to go back to cutting regular paper without any problem. I'm happy with these scissors so far - they are definitely on point. Oh - and here's a tip: If you notice your scissors are getting dull, fold up a piece of aluminum foil (several times) and cut it. The more the better. This will sharpen the blades. To keep the scissors cutting smoothly, do the same with a piece of waxed paper. This will keep your scissors "lubricated" and cutting smoothly. Cut and dried: I would buy these again. The Westcott Pink Ribbon Stainless Steel Scissors are wonderful - some scissors you can really cut your teeth on.

Worth every penny, not neon bright, just pink. It was important to me that I take a photo and natural lighting so you can see they’re not super bright. As someone with autism I can’t do bright colors, the color red, or crazy patterns without being incredibly triggered. They were great they’re sharp but you’re not gonna cut your hand open. Their ergonomic, easy to use and the perfect size. They were worth every cent of what the $7.00 dollars I spent on them. They’re gonna be around a long time and I really love that. And I hope the money goes to actual breast cancer research as I am a female and that’s some thing that I worry about. As I’m sure many of us who are purchasing these do you worry about. And for those of us who are distance-learning freshman college students and need something to make them smile every now and then. They fit the bill perfectly. I would repurchase just because I like having them in my house. Thinking about buying my mom a pair and baby blue for inside her stocking. Just keep the packaging on and they’re perfect stocking stuffers for any young lady, women or pink lover in your life. For me there an absolute must buy and I strongly recommend them to everyone. These scissors are great! I was looking for a replacement because I lost my last pair of scissors, and the ones I have now are no longer cutting through anything. The scissors cut perfect for general use, just used them to put gift wrap, cut open boxes. Etc and they’re great! Especially for the price it’s a awesome value

These scissors are good and cuts well depending on what you are cutting. Not bad for the price, I would recommend this item.

These are a little on the cheap side, but they get the job done if you are only cutting paper. Very lightweight.

The scissors were very sticky - they don't open and close smoothly. I have cheaper pairs that work better.
