What is this litter made of?

The ingredient list on the bag just says natural clay.

How does "classic" in the red bag differ from "Ultra"? Reviews all seem to be mixed up together.

So far the classic seems to have much less dust than the ultra and classic tracks less. Classic also clumps fine but not as solid as ultra due to the lack of dust. Both suck in regards to smell control but add some washed activated charcoal and it's the best litter you will ever use.

What difference do you notice between the "classic" (red bag) and the "ultra" (blue bag)? I have multiple cats using multiple boxes.

The only difference between ultra red and blue is that blue unscented and red is scented. I prefer the non-scented after trying it as I was unsure it would keep odor down but it does and better than the kind with scent for me. I feel the scent is bad when it gets mixed with cat urine and almost makes me sick. When i used scented litter I always smelled the litter box since switching to dr elseys there’s literally no odor besides right after a number two which I try to scoop out quickly

for those who have used the Precious Cat ULTRA premium clumping litter (blue bag), how does this compare?

I have used just about all of Dr. Elsey's litter products. Started with the Respiratory Relief. Didn't really notice much difference. I've used the Ultra. IMHO, it's dusty, and tracks a lot. Clumps well but becomes hardened like cement, especially in the litter box corners. Had to upgrade to a metal scooper and use a little more umph to get it out. I'm currently using the Classic without issue. Cats seem to like it, seems to produce less dust, clumps well, and less tracking. Hope that helps!

Trails everywhere and barely masks the smell.

Makes a mighty mess each time my cats use it. So much cleaning after! And it hardly masks the smell.My search for decent cat litter continues.

Ughh!

This stuff really is awful. It is also incredibly expensive.You can’t flush the wate clumps down the loo as it sets like concrete. My one cat got through a whole bag of this in 8 days, making it more costly by far than his food.

Low-dust but very difficult to clean

It seems to be low-dust, which is what I was after since my cat developed a cough, however, it clumps in a horrible way, making it extremely difficult to clean.
