Really Great Mouthpiece (I purchased the c3)
This mouthpiece is great for the price. The only issue I had with it was that the cork was thick and wouldn’t fit through into the barrel. Luckily, corks can always be shaven down with some sand paper tape :) The service was great and came quite fast and they even included a reciept page with information on how to return the product... that impressed me because most sellers don’t do that, or at least the sellers I’ve purchased from in the past. I don’t think I’ll be returning my c3 anytime soon, as it has a great sound and works great. I would recommend the c3 if you want a nice bright sound, because compared to my past mouth piece (which came with my clarinet) this one is brighter sounding as it describes on the box.

One of three decent mouthpieces
I recently ordered this mouthpiece to test the difference between the Rico Graftonite Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece, A5 , Rico Graftonite Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece, B7 , and C5. As it goes, it is as advertised. The C-series certainly has a very brilliant, very light tone to it that makes it easier to play, while the A-series is much more round in tone. The difference in all three are easily noticeable. Upgrading from a no-name, no-brand mouthpiece that came with my Mendini MCT-30 B Flat Intermediate Rosewood Clarinet w/ Case, Tuner, Stand, Mouthpiece, Box of 10 Reeds, Cork Grease, & a Pair of Gloves , the C5 brought out my middle register under the bridge (low C up to Bb) and really projects my low E~G range. The upper register is still brilliant, although a little pinched, which can be ironed out through practice. If you don't have a professional mouthpiece or two, these are decent substitutes. I would recommend investing in all three to test what sort of tone you are looking for based on your play style and literature choice.

It has it's plus side
I have enclosed, a picture from a Yamaha 4C and the Rico C7 mouthpiece's. I have had good usage from the Yamaha 4C, It is forgiving with students. You will see the Yamaha, is slightly longer than the Rico. The chambers are different between the two mouthpieces. When I first got the Rico. I wasn't really impressed with the raised face where the reed fastens. It felt different in my mouth, bad no, just different. A few days later I was going to give it another try. Now mind you. I am a self taught adult on the Clarinet. If a student is in a structured Band setting with an Instructor. Maybe things would be different without all the struggles learning this Instrument. Right now, Im learning on the Orange Box Rico, 1.5. I am able to get my cross over notes too. But I am still learning this instrument and I know the 1.5 are a think reed. I find that the Yamaha doesn't quit fit well at the tip with my Rico reeds as pictured. But the Rico mouthpiece, the tips almost matches the reeds. I find that once I am able to find that sweet spot with reeds and mouthpiece placement. The clarinet plays quiet easily with the Rico. It also, has a mellower tone than the Yamaha. Both mouthpiece's work great for me right now during my learning phase. One thing I like about the Rico brand. On the box, they show you what mouthpiece works, without a guessing game trying to sort out the sizes and thickness etc, etc. Note with that been said. What some say is the perfect mouthpiece might not fit well for you. So spending alot of money on something is not always a sure way to sort this out. With both mouthpieces at time of this posting. They both cost around 50 bucks for both. So it's not a bad fit and they have me playing too? Besides spending all this time getting frustrated with the quacks and squeaks. Now since I have found these, I'm have far less of these duck calls than before. Mostly on sub-standard Clarinets. They really don't put a quality mouthpiece with the instrucment. That's no fun. I'm playing a Jean Paul Clarinet for starters. Both mouthpiece brands are good for beginners and beyond. However, I feel the Rico brand has more variety of sizes than Yamaha.

Quality mouthpiece
A pretty good mouthpiece for not actually going to a good music store and trying some out. Good for beginners or people like me who are just clowning around reliving their high school days. haha

So far so good
This is my first time to get a branded clarinet parts. I'm just learning to play and bought a chaines clarinet with unkown mouthpiece and reeds. but now I got this along with B5 in addition to rico reeds 2, 2.5. They sound good so far but the only problem is that I learned to play on my clarinet which seems to be a garbage. Anyway, rico is a very well known brand and they are on of the best in the reeds and mouthpieces. if you have the chance to try before buying, do it just to find which reeds andmouthpieces will fit you.
