When I got this it did not work! I sent it back & was still charged $20 restocking fee.

We have only a small parcel and had three horses on it for a while and this unit has kept the horse from pushing the fence down so I'm satisfied with it.

This is an easy to setup plug in electric fence charger. I use it to power four runs with three lines of two inch electric tape. My last one was 10 years old before it quit working. Definitely a good buy.

Keeps the deer and bears out of the garden. and the bee yard so far! Now, to enclose the hostas will be the next step. I purchased this one, a 1.2 Joule, because the bear and deer were walking right through the old one, a .2 joule

Not strong enough to keep our goats in. They would walk right through the fence touching it and it didn't seem to matter to them.
