Great for sound proofing
I used these foam panels to help deaden the sound coming from my noisy dishwasher, and they work great! My dishwasher is the ultra-cheap variety—by Frigidaire/Electrolux—which means it’s kind of noisy. First I put some cotton batting behind the large center panel. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y6SX1Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Next, most of the remaining noise could be heard coming from the top, bottom and sides. This product seemed like a good choice, and it worked perfectly. I began by ordering one set to see how well it worked on the top and bottom front panels. It worked so well, I’m going to order another set for either side.At first I tried using the remainder of the cotton batting, but it was too flimsy and soft. This material is firm and dense, yet easy to cut with a knife or even scissors, and the adhesive backing is quite strong. It turned out to be just what was needed. When I’m all done, my dishwasher may not be as quiet as a top-of-the-line model, but it will be significantly quieter than it once was, and I will have spent less than $100. This dishwasher came included with my new home, so my choices were to replace it or try to fix it myself. Thanks in large part to this great product, my project was pretty quick and easy. A friend suggested I could have pulled out my dishwasher from under the cabinet and wrapped batting around it, but that would have been far too much trouble. And my way, when it eventually comes time to replace my current dishwasher, I can opt for a reasonably priced model, knowing my foam rubber on either side will deaden a lot of noise just being there. This stuff is so durable, and the adhesive is so strong, I have no doubt it will easily outlast many future dishwashers!

Good value bad odor
Had to air out in the sun for two days due to strong odor. Adhesive is good. Holds on a curve. Isn't gummy- won't leave a mess if you remove the pad.

Probably not normal usage
We purchased a new heat-pump water heater and an accessory that was available was a neoprene anti-vibration mat. The mats weren't readily available for purchase and it seemed like a good idea so I bought these, doubled them up and put the water heater on them. Seems to be doing a good job as we don't feel vibrations in the floor while it's running. I don't know if we would have but this is cheap insurance.

Excellent as an anti-vibration pad for outdoor residential AC condenser on a steel stand.
These worked perfectly on the top of a home-made residential AC condenser stand, to dampen contact between the unit and the steel frame. They are easily cut to size on a board with a utility knife, and the adhesive held them in place very well through a few weeks of winter weather until the units arrived. The anti-vibration pads under the feet of the stand are HEAVY DUTY ANTI VIBRATION ISOLATION PADS 4" X 4" X 3/4" ALL RUBBER WAFFLE TYPE, QUANTITY 4 and also worked extremely well.

Perfect for small areas
The foam is very dense. You'll want a sharp tool if you have to cut it to size. The adhesive is good, not superb, but good.

Foam rubber pads.
Very good product. My only difficulty is the flexibility of the product. These pads are quite firm, I was looking for something a little more flexible, but how do you describe softness in a product description? Recommended for applications requiring firm foundations.

Great material, adhesion is good.
Used in an air duct to absorb sound. Great material. The adhesion on the back is good if you can get the surface clean before applying.

Easy to work with
I work at a long term care facility and use these to pad equipment. Easy to work with, easy to cut. Sticks very well. I now have my therapy department using them for padding.
