The Little Book of Garden Bird Songs

I love this book for my grandchildren! My backyard has lots of birds but it was hard to know which bird song belonged to whom. Now my grandchildren can recognize the birds by their looks and their songs. Very pleased!

HUGE hit with my granddaughter. We use this book a lot, and it is developed her curiosity of birds. She can now name several birds and even hears their song. I really recommend this is you have the opportunity to read and listen, and then apply to nature. Perfect for our cabin living!

Absolutely a great book for grandkids. They are actually learning the bird's calls.

My nephew loves birds. This book is so cute and he can listen to each bird as he looks at the pictures.

Such a great book, beautiful sounds a pictures. My one year old enjoys it but I think any age child would.

My bird obsessed two year old loves this book! He is learning the names of the birds, what they eat, and loves matching up the bird in the book to sounds on the right side. He has really amazed me with this book.

It's lovely, but these are European birds, as the Robin is not the one I am familiar with in the states. It took me a second to figure it out, but I did learn something. :)

I bought this book for the grandkids. We sit on the deck and can identify the sounds of the birds around us. I never really paid attention before. But now I can identify some of the birds in the area thanks to this book.

J'ai acheté de nombreux livres sonores sur les animaux pour mes petits enfants. Celui-ci est le meilleur. 12 oiseaux et 12 enregistrements authentiques de chants très agréables à écouter. Les illustrations sont remarquables, d'une grande qualité. C'est un livre qui se veut pédagogique et instructif. Sur 2 pages cartonnées l'auteur décrit l'oiseau, donne des indications, avec illustrations à l'appui, sur son habitat, son mode de vie, sa nourriture, son nid et ses oeufs etc. Les textes sont en anglais mais sont simples et faciles à comprendre. Un enfant de 18 mois se contentera d'écouter les oiseaux chanter, à 2 ans il les reconnaîtra et plus grand il s'intéressera à plus. Le livre cartonné est très bien fabriqué. Sa texture est agréable. Il résiste bien aux petites mains maladroites.

One of my absolute favourite books. Excellent quality and the recorded bird songs are perfect, easy to learn from, and heard immediately out in the garden! Such a fun and beautiful way to learn bird calls. Getting the kids - and myself - excited about learning about birds!
